Board Timer???
« on: October 26, 2009, 01:40:47 PM »
Why does this site's timer show me on line and using time after I have logged out?

I don't think it does. I've been on for 1 day, 23 hours, 28 minutes.... but I've never logged out in almost a month.

Strange?  I've logged out three times as a test and it kept me on the clock.

Mine shows, Total time logged in: 82 days, 10 hours and 16 minutes.

I wonder if they're on to me?

The timer isn't real time. When one logs out, it takes as long as 15 minutes for it to catch up. The board timer that shows days/ hours and minutes logged in isn't terribly accurate, but it does show an approximation of actual time logged in. I have my login set to forever, so it's 15 minutes past my last activity before it shows me as being no longer online.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I was going to change the total time spent online to "total amount of time wasted at CC" but I couldn't make the code work.

Since we don't get paid for it, who cares?
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
