Obama Asks Twitter CEO Evan Williams for Economic Advice
« on: March 06, 2009, 12:25:20 PM »
Quote
From the start of his campaign,  Barack Obama was touted as the tech-savvy candidate as he utilized social networking to generate enthusiastic support.

Now,  Obama, the Commander in Chief,  is turning Evan Williams, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Twitter, for advice on America's  economy. Ironically, Twitter is has enough of its own financial challenges to deal with.

Judging from Evan's White House Tweet, he was perplexed by Obama's invitation. He's not sure what he'll say when he arrives at 1500 Pennsylvania Ave.

Going to the White House tomorrow for a meeting about the economy (which must mean they're *really* out of ideas). What should I tell them? ...

We now have a president that couldn't sell sex on a troop train........and his approval ratings are still 63%.......something is seriously amiss in this country.

Puny mortal, you are too small to understand his true genius!  ...And how's them DVDs?  Rush Limbaugh speculated on his show today as to whether any Obamites rembered to get disks enabled for Zone 2

Obama is such a genius. The ideal gift for a man who is blind in one eye and has recently lost some vision in his remaining eye is obviously a box set of DVDs.

Yep--while Obama twitters, the economy's in the shitter.

The whole situation is pathetic. I'm embarrassed for him. I'm embarrassed for my country. I feel like one of those Bush-haters who posted a picture on imsorry.com. I'm afraid I'm going to start exhibiting the qualities of a DUmmy by the time 2012 rolls around--bitter, hateful, unwashed.  :-)

I felt embarrassed too and thought of the "imsorry" pictures but I'm not going to become a hate-filled bitter DUmmie.  It's a choice.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Me too: I am like Rick Santelli of the Chicago Merc. Board; I would not want to be a politician in DC cause I would feel the urge to take a shower every hour.

I had no idea what twitter was so I looked...

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

... this offers a solution for the economy ?

Parson my french, but are you ****ing kidding me ?

He might just as well ask another Chicago neighbor Hugh Hefner what to do....

Can you just hear the gales of laughter coming from foreign capitals the world over ?
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.
