Word is, among legislators, that Senator Tina Smith was on the list along with at least one Republican legislator. The suspect had flyers--apparently handmade--that said "No Kings." Although the police has asked people not to attend the rallies, the word came out late and a significant number of people are marching to the Capitol. It does appear that the police are keeping them away from the grounds.

IF the shooter really IS Vance Boelter, he is part of Praetorian Guard Security Services in Minnesota. He has ties to the Gaza Strip, suggesting a motive.

Something Hamas? Something to do with the budget bill, from which funding for illegals was removed?

Apparently, the guy's hit-list has both D and R pols on it. IMO, the guy is looking like an anarchist or saw himself as some sort of gun-toting messiah who was going to take out pols he saw as corrupt and then, ???? He isn't the MAGApublican Dems pretend he is, but he's also not a Trump-Hating resister.

The first thing I did was look up their party affiliations. Anyone else smell a huge MAGA skunk in the woodpile here?

When I saw a news report early this AM that two MN legislators had been murdered, one of the things I looked for in the article was the party affiliation. I did this because DUpipo always always always ... always conclusion-jump like ShazzieB did. And to be honest I thought that DUpipo might actually have finally gotten the RWNJ they so desperately desire.

Unlike DUpipo I know to wait for actual information, and, well, DUpipo got another layer of egg on their faces.

On the golf course, typing on my phone. Occasionally glance at the Townhall/RedState/Twitchy/PJ Media app and there are lots of leftists who've already assigned blame to MAGA. Difficult to copy & paste, but if anyone wants some decent accurate info I'd suggest going there.

How many times have we assigned blamed to rethugs for violent acts when it turns out to not be the case. In this specific case, and I am not saying this is the cause or related to it, the Minnesota budget recently passed was controversial for the fact it removed MinnesotaCare health coverage for undocumented persons over the age of 18 starting Jan 1, 2026. Hortman being the Minn Speaker of the House had a part in this passing, and Hoffman recently sided with the Minn rethugs on a vote as well.

Why would DUpipo break their 24 1/2 year tradition? Has this post been deleted for committing common sense?

ETA: I just checked Bay Area freeways' traffic on GoogMaps. Currently (~8:15 AM PDT) it's actually much lighter than I would expect for a pleasant late spring Saturday AM.

I did an out-and-back, ~5 1/4 miles total, ~20-minute-mile pace (not amazing). Freeway traffic on SR17 was at/near the speed limit, moderate traffic (somewhat surprising, since traffic toward Santa Cruz, the beach, is often heavy and backed up this time of the year). Walking past Campbell's downtown and artery streets there were normal traffic and parking and no protesty-rioty sounds. Where I walked was within a mile of Campbell's main police station, an obvious magnet for Prog-Hate. When I checked GoogMaps for Bay Area traffic at ~10:30 PDT, traffic was normal or lighter than normal. There were no unusual or heavier than normal slowdowns, let alone blockages. I assume there were Prog tantrums, just not large enough to affect normal Saturday AM traffic patterns.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... a majority of American voters voted for Trump, so what do you mean, "Americans are going to ..."? Self- isolate to your heart's content, but be honest enough to admit you are not in the majority. For "extra credit", you could admit the grossly obvious fact that many who voted for Kammie do not hate Trump and Trump voters the way you do.
