Let's not be duped again, OK?

Last edited Mon Dec 12, 2016, 09:32 AM - Edit history (1)

When people post on DU from RT, praise people like Robert Parry, or lionize Julian Assange, Snowden or Wikileaks, let's not be fooled again into believing that such people are progressives or somehow more liberal than we are.

Instead, let's remember 2016 and the Russian-led destruction of the very fabric of this country. Let's rely instead on our own good sense and not be sold a bill of goods by some glib POS used car sales strategies.

Too many Democrats were taken in by such malicious pretenders this year, and we'll be paying the price for that deception for a long time to come. Looking forward, let's be more careful who we listen to, OK?

That's my Sunday evening rant for this week.

This concern over "the Russians" can't help but make me laugh.

Rockhead and his fellow primitives are the same liberals/progressives who wept bitterly and uncontrollably when the USSR, also called by them "the great utopian experiment", fell from the rank of superpower and into the dust-bin of history. Now they want us to believe they are concerned about their heroes interfering in US affairs (which is all a lie anyway)?

To their own embarrassment, they forget we remember the past and the former ways of the left.

Who is he kidding? Probably not even himself! Just like Wikileaks and Bush, just like with Dan Blather, the first "whistleblower" with gotcha-dirt on Trump will be canonized by DU-folk, and defended beyond the last ditch if the gotcha-dirt is proven fauxnier than a 33-dollar bill.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

I wonder what today's moonbats think about Kennedy actually going to meet them and cut a deal in person?

I've said this before but my father was a used car salesman. One of his many nuggets of wisdom to me was, "People that think they are smart are the easiest to fool."

Dummys think they are very, very smart.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I don't recall you expressing the same concerns when you were doing their bidding, in uniform, protesting in DC - so, what changed?  Russian interference was okay then, but not now?

Geez, George, could you at least try to stay consistent?
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840
