And another non-Bouncy
« on: October 12, 2012, 03:29:34 PM »
So I went to visit my parents today. As I've said before they live in what I would consider every-town America. A place small enough that when you go shopping you'll probably encounter at least one person that you know but still large enough that not everyone knows your business.

During this trip I encountered eight Romney signs and NO Obama signs. During my last trip, just before the first debate, I don't remember seeing any signs.

On the way home I paid attention to where the signs were located.
One was in front of a very small (970 sq ft), older wood home built in 1946.
One was in front of a small brick home build in 1972.
One was in front of a medium-sized wood home build in 1983.
One was in front of a large, very old wood farm house built in 1920.
One was in front of a buffet and fried chicken restaurant.
Three were near the shoulder of the road.

I got the construction dates from an online tax website.

No one jumped out of the bushes, but maybe the debates did convince some people of something.

I'm going to drive through my neighborhood Sunday and take a picture of every Romney/Ryan and Obama/Biden sign.

There are no Obama/Biden signs.

Four years ago there were some Barack Milhous signs in the big city; I dunno, maybe 50 or so in a town of 22,000 people.

This year, there's none.  Zero.

In fact the only (D) yard-signs one sees around here (again, in the big city) are four of them stuck in the grass in front of the Kerrey for U.S. Senate office rented at a strip-mall on an out-of-the-way street.

Bumper-stickers touting Barack Milhous?--I've seen only two motor vehicles with them the past several months; one car with a woman who imagines Barack Milhous shares her ethnic heritage, and the other car driven by the usual affluent white government-worker liberal.

There were, uh, more than that four years ago.  They weren't all over the place, but they were out there, and visible.

Another thing I noticed about the candidates for local races was that a ton of them has switched from dem to repub. For years in this part of the state the local elections were usually won by dems. It didn't matter that people voted for the R in the national election. Now even the local dem incumbents are switching party affiliation.

Another sign--seriously--that the Old South is more forward-looking, more progressive, than the tired old rusty blue states up north.

In '08, the Obamessiah stickers were everywhere in this state.  Very few McCain/Palin stickers anywhere.

Now, it runs maybe 60/40 Obamessiah to RSquared.  Also, the total number of the Obamessiah stickers out there has greatly dimished.

Hope ya got a large memory in your cam, Chris. People are really startin' to bring 'em out around here. Used to be the only signs ya saw were that loser Ron Paul. Those people are shameless around here. Shitload of libertarians, doncha know.

We noticed here the other day that there are NO Obama signs anywhere.  Not even on the roads.  I see tons of Romney signs.  I thought maybe they cut back on signs to save money or something.

I wish I had one of those dash cams. It would take less effort to film all of them while I drove down the street and put a counter on the screen.  :lmao:

I have seen 3 lawn signs and 3 stickers for obama total.

There's 4 million people in the 3 county area, which includes Detroit. I haven't been in Detroit in years so I can't attest to the number of obama signs there.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

While at my parents' I needed to do something on my dad's computer. As I was sitting at the desk I noticed that he had a photo of Mitt and Ann propped up on the desk. He said  he had received it with a fundraiser request. He said they also got a fundraiser request from Obama's bunch with a little black and white photo of Obama. He said it was in the trash somewhere.

I don't see many yard signs here, but have seen a lot more Romney/Ryan bumper stickers over the last few days.  Very rarely see anything pro-Obama.  I see a lot of those NOPE stickers with the Obama symbol through the O.

FYI - I live in a swing state.  Guess it's a good sign.  :)

The only Obama signs I've sen here are on the sides of two Cadillacs...one red and one black...both are owned by moonbat black women running for city council. One has the "Obama Family Exhibit" in her house.

Someone has been running over the Rs signs along the road at night and someones been standing them up during the day, closer to trees I've noticed. :-)
There are a lot of bumper and window stickers here. Around 50/50 I'd say. With no exception the O stickers have been on racist 47%ers cars, unlike the last time.

I had to go a little out of town today to take a wounded bird of some kind that the wife had rescued to some sort of wild animal place. In that area I counted two Romney signs and one Obama signs. That means int he last two days I have seen ten Romney signs and only one Obama sign.

If we use the methods that TruthisAll (or whatever his name is) use to determine the winner based on polls, I would think this means that Romney should win the election by around a gazillion and four votes.

I'm bumping this to keep the DUmmies informed and to announce that over the last two days I've seen six more Romney signs and one Romney bumper sticker. No Obama signs or stickers. TruthInAll would say this is a landslide.

One thing that I did notice that might ought to be of some concern to the DUmmies is that several of the signs were in front of mom & pop type businesses.

On the way to the range Tuesday, I saw 5 Romney yard signs one BS and nothing for obama.

Just noticed something. The spellchecker has obama included in it now. :argh:

Here at Moonbat Ground Zero NH, (aka P_town North) I spotted two new Romney signs today.  And there are two former Obie homes which have turned to Romney (both have young children / grandchildren and graying hippie types ).  Obie was in state for a reason today but I believe he will be about as successful as Algore.  Gravity has the same effect on all things, in Obie's case I think he has yet to reach terminal velocity, but has breached the zenith of his popularity; and, is on the downward leg picking up speed.  It could become a McGovern, Dukakis, or Carter style election. Obie and friends will need to be put on suicide watch election eve and plenty of batons, tasers, straight jackets and Thorazine will be needed.  They will not go quietly into the good night. :fuelfire:

I'm still keeping track of the signs I see.

Sunday and today I saw a today of 3 Romney signs. No Obama signs. Bumper stickers must not be a big thing around here.

"DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY/RYAN"

Broken Bow, Nebraska on Sunday 21 OCT 2012. Along Highway 2 I saw eight Romney signs in yards, one large billboard with SOS: Stop Obama Socialism. I also saw one Kerry sign...

No signs for Barry.

Along the drive from west to east Nebraska? About the same in every town I passed through. I didn't see one Barry sign.
