Turns out Mexico's President invited BOTH Hillary and Trump
But the media is only reporting the invitation to the latter, as if to create the impression that the Mexican President prefers Trump.
See the translation of paragraph 2 from this news article in the Universal of Mexico:
"In recent days, Pres. @EPN Invited both US presidential candidates to a dialogue on the bilateral relationship between Mexico and the US. Mister @realDonaldTrump has accepted this invitation and will meet tomorrow in private with President @EPN" says the tweet of the Presidency of the Republic.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512390776It was no secret that both were invited, it's just that Trump is going to get there first.
Mexico, probably lacking disability laws and accommodations for people with special needs just isn't set up to handle someone old and infirm like Hillary on such short notice.
But it was no secret, it was widely reported.

1. Actually, msnbc had said earlier that both were invited and both camps had agreed but times
and places and schedules were not set (until now with trump)
You snooze, you lose. Hillary's strategy of hiding herself away from public view and hoping the mainstream media can drag her across the finish line in November has its drawbacks.

7. I don't understand it.
She's doing ok in the polls, but she could be doing so much better if she was out there with the folks. She needs to get out of her comfort zone because this isn't a traditional campaign. You should always run like you're behind.
No, it has been well documented that the more she shows her aged face, the lower she sinks in the polls.

5. An opportunity for what?"
Last I checked they don't vote in our elections. Hillary can go see him anytime she wants but why would she. His approval rating btw is less than 30% so who gives a flip.
Too much effort for her tired old ass?

8. Mexican social media is berating their President for meeting with Trump.
Hillary staying away from this dumpster fire is good judgment.
Hillary can hold down the Hamptons with with John Bon Jovi and Jimmy Buffet while Trump handles the grownup stuff.
