I finally saw the video on the news. I still won't click the link. However, from the piece I did see, is it possible that the bystanders on the sidewalk were just afraid to walk into the street? I am NOT defending anyone! I would run to the man and stop traffic and render aid. But, I'm also a trained law enforcement officer (in my former life) so I wouldn't hesitate. Neither would a lot of people. But, some people may see a man get mowed down by a car racing on the wrong side of the street and think twice. Of course while prudent, it also means they may be DUmmie types who wait for the guys in uniform to save them. I could be way off base, but that's just my $.02.
Have they reported any more? Were any of those people on the sidewalk recording calling 911? I'd love to know what's in that police report and witness statements.
