Isn't that considered statutory rape in America?
There are father's in America that would want to do the same thing if they found out a man older than them was having sex with their teenage daughter. Hell, as a mother I would want to do the same thing.
The age of consent isn't uniform nationwide, it can vary by state. Some places it would be, some not. However given the actual rates of sexual activity by girls 16 and over, it's not a particularly realistic limit, and model code States with an age of 18 generally have some exception if it involved a guy within three years of the same age (Or 19 or less, implementation varies). Before that particular nuance was added, the states used to divide roughly 50-50 between 16 and 18, with a few off-the-beaten-path outliers. A lot of people think it's 18 only and everywhere, because that is the trigger age in the Federal kiddie porn law, which
is a nationwide Federal law...so there would be places where a 17-year-old could freely consent to anything, at least with a partner close in age, but nobody including her better be taking any pictures of it.
I'd guess from the story that it's probably 16 in the corner of Germany where this happened. Off-hand I don't know if this might vary from Land to Land there, the way it does here from State to State, or if it's set by one nationwide law.
