Maybe they're looking for their laser pointers. :(

Speaking of future pole dancers at the age of 15.   But-but they are trying to raise money for their college education.

I saw that on TV last night (or something similar).  Disturbing and creepy.

The parents fired back later, saying that the video had been taken out of context.
Why am I not surprised.  Probably a bunch of hausfraus that thought it was "cute".  Some people are just ****in' stupid.

I had hoped that what happened to Jon Benet Ramsey would have taught people a lesson.  :banghead:

What a sad culture we have.
Yummm....Uncle Pervy says "Yeeeesssss...(as he wipes off his computer screen...).

I heard about this issue while listening to the Jesus Christ Show this morning on the radio. (http://www.thejesuschristshow.com/)

The children involved should be removed from their homes and the parents charged with child abuse and pedophilia. This is the type of shit only a DUmmy would approve of.

removed by who?

High School Cheerleader competitions are doing pretty much the same thing these days, I don't think government cares.

The psychologist in the ABC News video is an idiot.  "Don't police the environment," he says.  "Sit down with your kids and watch these things," he says.  "Forget him," I say.  When my kids are 18 and out of the house, if they choose to watch that crap, they can.  Until then, I have full control over what they see and hear in my house.  Outside of my house, they have the same expectations they do in the house.  If I find out they aren't living up to those expectations, there are consequences.

The parents should have the kids taken away from them until they can learn to teach their kids appropriate behavior.

The competition officials who allowed this crap should be soundly beaten.

My daughter went to dance school from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade....taking ballet, tap, modern and jazz.

We parents never saw the recital dances until the night of recital. However, if any of the kids at my daughter's dance school had danced like this....the parents would have been storming the stage! and not enrolling their kids in the school anymore. She hasn't been in dance school in over 15 years, but Madonna was doing some pretty risque stuff back then, and the kids weren't dressing - or gyrating around -  like Madonna.

Flame's daughter is very active in dance school, recitals, and competition dancing. I know she's older...freshman in HS, maybe? I would be interested in hearing Flame's comments on this and what the parents at her daughter's school have said about this video as I'm sure if they have not seen it, they have at a minimum, heard about it.

This started with Brooke Shields and her jeans commercial back in the 80s, if I recall. People spoke out then, but the rest failed to hear. As with anything, once it's accepted, it gets incrementally worse.

I checked and Pretty Baby came out when she was 13 , in 1978. Her Calvin Klein Jeans ads started in 1980.

Anyone else notice the statement the father who was interviewed repeated twice that the video was to not suppose to have gone on the internet.  ??   Now why one earth would he have said that if as the parents claim, the dance recital was a good thing.?

Right under our nose the Pervs are trying to lower the age of consensual sex to  8 YEARS OLD.

I would be outraged if the girls were 14 years old.  I cannot believe the parents had not seen and approved of the costumes, they must have had some idea of the dance moves as those kids must have practiced at home for a month or two.

Nothing to do today.?  Check out You tube for the very first film Shirley Temple was in.    Keep a bucket ready to barf in.
