Every couple of years that audio clip makes the rounds and for awhile afterwards there are various attacks on Wayne from the Democrats.

A few years they were trying to get the name of John Wayne Airport in Orange County changed because of former things the Duke had said.  Pleased to say their efforts failed.

If you've never been to the airport, they have a larger than life statue of him with an American Flag as a backdrop.

Good ol' Marion Morrison, triggering liberals even from the grave.

He was born in a town about 40 miles from where I was born, and have actually been to his museum.  Also, that area was the setting for the execrable book and movie "The Bridges of Madison County" which starred Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.
