The libs need to regroup on this issue. They need to come up with a response like they have for the great glow bull warming swindle. Whatever happens in the climate is because of glow bull warming, and further proves glow bull warming.

To be fair, the FBI never claimed the drop in crime is due to gun sales. That was only added by the author of the article. Correlation does not equal causation.

The fourth paragraph says "The FBI report does not speculate on any causes for the drop of crime in early 2013, and admits that some data may be incomplete. Some gun rights advocates, however, point out the decrease in crime coincided with a surge in gun sales."

"Coincided with" =/= "caused".

To be fair, you're the only one claiming causation, DUmmy. Grown-ups call that a "straw man argument".

Cool! So you agree the increase in gun sales had nothing to do with the drop in crime?

No, and you are a fool for saying that.

But that is exactly what I expect from a wayward DUmpmonkey.

Ever since Colorado legalized marijuana, the quality of DUmbasses who post here has gone way down.

So grow some balls and take a stand on the issue.

Was the decrease in crime caused by gun sales, or was it not?

There is no "issue" to "take a stand" on, DUmbshit.

The increase in firearms purchases correlates with the decrease in violent crime reported in the UCR. Gun rights advocates pointed out that the two coincide. You introduced the strawman of causation, when no one else has.

It's your pile of shit, DUmmy. You roll in it.

Ok, I agree!  The increase in gun sales didn't cause a decrease in violent crime. You guys never said gun sales caused a decrease in violence and it's silly to imply it would.

No one implied that it was so. You are bound and determined to throw up one strawman after another, aren't you?

Honestly, Skins really should make you go through a training program before he lets you off the Island.

So we agree that the decrease in crime occured at the same time as increased gun sales, but there is no reason to think one caused the other?

Of course we don't agree on that. You just demonstrated the logical fallacy of false dichotomy. I never agree with fallacious thinking.

Two fallacies in one thread. I think you're going for a CC record!

Everything is the cause of glow bull warming. Nothing is the cause of crime decreases.
