Mojave County Representatives Want Change
« on: February 03, 2010, 10:45:49 AM »

By JIM SECKLER/The Daily News

Several Mohave County officials also appear on the verge of supporting Republican candidate John David Hayworth in the primary against McCain. Hayworth, 51, was a conservative six-term U.S. congressman until 2007, after which he hosted a Phoenix radio talk show. The 2010 primary election will be held Aug. 24.

State Rep. Nancy McLain, of Bullhead City, said she is leaning toward supporting Hayworth in his quest for the U.S. Senate seat occupied by McCain. McCain was the Republican candidate for president, losing to President Obama in November.

McLain, a Republican, said she believes McCain has been in Washington too long and she does not agree with some of his issues on immigration such as amnesty for illegal immigrants already in the country. It will be difficult to defeat McCain, who possesses a large war chest, she added.

“I believe I will be more inclined to support J.D. because I think he can shake things up in the Senate,” McLain said.

I think the bouncing of McCain would be just as symbolic--if not the second half of--the rightward shift begub by the Scott Brown election.

Sorry Sen McCain but it is time to go.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

With it seeming that Conservatives or at least Republicans will be in the ascendancy, it would be a perfect time to turn over the seat to new blood, if he could let go of the ego issues enough to do that (Fat chance).
