DU Figures Out How Trump Stole the Election

BamaMoose:
This is perhaps the most convoluted attempt to prove that somehow Trump and Elon stole the election so far:

Let's say you think this past election was rigged.
It's not election conspiracy theory IF white hat/red team hackers can get evidence.
BUT sufficient evidence could be an oligarch Leviathan.

I saw this video on DU and forwarded it to an IT expert.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWSWqn7UHYM&t=2s

https://www.democraticunderground.com/100220080224

What the IT expert texted back:

"...It's a conspiracy for sure, but this was an interesting thread that needs tugging:

-- Item A. NATO is considering invoking Article 5 in accordance with the Cyber policy, and no, it’s not because we “don’t like Elon."

It’s because Elon very quietly and rapidly built a low-orbit Direct-to-Cell constellation, in which 265 satellites were in place and operational just two weeks prior to the Nov 5 election.

These low-orbit satellites effectively place the equivalent of a hacker’s “Stingray” device in every voting precinct in America.

-- Now factor in Barre Seid’s 2020 transfer of his election security company Tripp Lite, to far-right predatory billionaire Leonard Leo.

Nearly ALL election machines in this country are certified to be used specifically with Tripp Lite products -- which are surge protectors for all ES&S DS450 and DS850 tabulators, and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) units for all Dominion servers.

After a year of searching for the right buyer, Leonard Leo sold Tripp Lite to a company by the name of Eaton Corp., in 2021.

-- What has Eaton Corp. been up to?
One week after Musk created his “America PAC” for Trump, Eaton Corp. announced a partnership with Palantir, a company owned by another far-right predatory billionaire Peter Thiel (Elon Musk’s co-founder of PayPal), and used by militaries and counter-terrorism analysts. Its customers include the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) and United States Department of Defense.

The Eaton/Palantir partnership focused on secure erasure of digital footprints on Eaton devices, and on AI management of large datasets - such as large quantities of ballot images.

Also of note, Peter Thiel also has ownership in Polymarket, another company with ties to the outcome of the U.S. election. Polymarket had eerily accurate predictions of a Trump victory, and was raided shortly after the Nov 5 election.

In Sept 2024, Eaton Corp. announced another partnership, this time with Trump’s single largest campaign contributor, Elon Musk (via Tesla), further dirtying the election waters, and providing a convenient cover for their correspondence and monetary connections.

Item B: Why is a private, supposedly “neutral” election/voting system company sourcing core components from far-right individuals with direct connections to Donald Trump?

Understanding of product design and access to production facilities, kicks the doors wide open for widespread potential for the insertion of maliciously engineered products into the election systems.

-- In the time period in which Musk was building out Starlink’s low-orbit Direct-to-Cell constellation, he was also hosting weekly “Billionaire brain trust” meetings, and overseeing the ground-level infrastructure needed to pull off a mass-scale election exploit.

With all pieces in place, the remaining question is a probable motive...
Over $15T in minerals in Ukraine, needed to manufacture electric vehicles

Musk launched his bid to purchase the Twitter platform just 49 days after Putin invaded Ukraine, overpaid by $20B (w/help from Russian oligarchs), then promptly converted it to a pro-Trump/Russian propaganda dumpster fire.

-- Oct 25, 2024, Murdoch’s WSJ dropped a bombshell on Musk’s two+ years of private contact with Putin.
Why would Murdoch risk the “October Surprise,” especially considering he is IN the “Billionaire brain trust,” unless he knew the “fix” was in?

Trump’s campaign speech/confession on Nov 4:
“He looked at some that were just shipped in, some of these vote-counting computers. He knew it before it even came in the door. He looked like at the back of it. "Oh, I know that one." I mean, he knows that's how -- I mean, he knows this stuff better than any. And he actually said -- and this is for the good of everybody, it's the good of mankind, essentially.”

Nov 5: Trump “wins” ALL swing states, the “Blue Wall” falls, not one single district flips “blue” and Musk is overheard announcing the “win” four hours prior to official results.

Tesla-Ukraine...incoming...

Today 350 low-orbit Direct-to-Cell satellites are now in place across the globe.
So which country is Musk taking next?”

At this point, I'm afraid to ask the IT guy (who's deciding whether to go for a scholarship for a law degree):
Can journalists and hacker teams possibly get sufficient evidence to prove the suspected connections here?
Will free and fair elections end because of insufficient, or even sufficient evidence?
Can Quinn Emanuel, the world's most feared law firm, put the fear into the good cop/bad cop team destroying elections? And our country?
Is it a brave new world of AI-based capitalist surveillance that lies beyond democracy?
We're three years out. Can we be saved?

There's a whole lot to unpack in that word salad so I'll try to paraphrase it:

*  The YouTube video is yet another attempt by some blogger to twist statistics to prove Trump stole the election.
*  NATO is considering invoking Article 5 in accordance with the Cyber policy, which must be news to NATO since there is absolutely no reporting of Article 5 being considered for cyber incursions.
*  SpaceX launched a bunch of satellites for Direct-to-Cell use (i.e. cell phones connecting to satellites, vice cell towers).  And they did so "very quietly" by issuing press releases, having press conferences and running commercials during the Super Bowl to announce their efforts.
*  Tripp Lite, which produces surge protectors and UPS's, was donated to Marble Freedom Trust, which is a conservative PAC run by Leonard Leo, and subsequently sold to Eaton.
*  Eaton, whose core business is the production of electrical distribution components and electro-mechanical parts, hired Palantir, which is owned by Peter Thiel, to provide enterprise solution and supply chain management software.
*  Thiel also owns Polymarket, which is basically a cryptocurrency gambling site.  Polymarket is banned in the US for allowing bets on things like elections.
*  Eaton, which produces electrical components, announced that it was a supplier to Tesla, which interesting enough produces electrical cars.
*  Put that all together and clearly Musk stole the election for Trump so he could acquire access to $15T of mineral rights in Ukraine.

This entire theory is based on the fact that some voting machines use Tripp Lite surge protectors and UPS's.

So now I'm a little concerned.  I own a cell phone, and I routinely use a work satphone.  I own a Tripp Lite surge protector.  I probably have an Eaton circuit breaker in my house, and I've definitely installed a bunch of Eaton components over my career.  I'm familiar with Palantir and have used some of their work products in the past.  I feel like I'm part of this entire conspiracy.

OMG, I just realized I flipped one vote to Trump when I voted for him. :panic: I AM part of the conspiracy.

Currently, this post has 150 replies and 250 recs and only a few people have pointed out that it makes absolutely no sense.  But I did like this factoid:

Was that the original source?

So, her brilliant, confidential IT expert that she put so much trust in sent her a months old conspiracy theory about Musk that he cut and pasted off of Musk's site. The jokes write themselves.

If it's a satellite, naturally it's capable of hacking. All satellites can hack. Everyone knows this.

Follow-on question: Why are all voting precincts susceptible to Stingray devices? Shouldn't they be hardened or - just throwing this out there - based on a technology that isn't susceptible to that sort of thing?

Follow-on question: How does hacking occur through a power managers external to the machine?

Other follow-on question: If the satellites can hack the machines, why would you need the surge protectors to hack the machines...or vice versa?

Did any DU-Denizen catch the contradiction I highlighted? As Sgt. Bunny aptly pointed out, Tripp Lite's products are things like surge protectors (more robust than the MOVs in $10 or $20 power strips*, I'm sure) and Uninterruptable Power Supplies. The former absorb surges from lightning strikes or industrial equipment, while the latter provide AC power to, variously, allow an orderly shutdown of a computer system or power the system for # hours after/during a utility power outage. Applications for their product lines range from a wireless-connected home PC/Mac to systems in a server or storage farm. Tripp Lite's products have zero to do with counting votes.

I don't know who ancianita's "IT expert" is and won't waste the time to see in the video if (s)he identifies who they are, but the rank techno-babble 20-Degrees of Separation BS (s)he is shoveling out demonstrates to me that (s)he could not even have had a job at Radio Shack selling batteries and USB cables. That ancianita bought the BS proves that she lacked the intelligence to be able to buy the correct batteries and USB cables at Radio Shack and may not know that Radio Shack went out of business several years ago.

* Nothing wrong with these, except that depending on your weather you should toss these after 10 or 20 years, as the MOVs do deteriorate every time they absorb a surge.

Old n Grumpy:
They’ve got it all wrong, actually musk had his satellites send down mind controlling signals to force the Democrats to put up too stupid candidates for president and vice president so that it would force everyone to vote for Donald Trump. Obviously, some of the Democrats had their tinfoil hats on and weren’t affected by these signals and voted for Harris and Kane. :thatsright:

There is nothing more entertaining that a group of 65-year-old Encyclopedia Browns who solve crimes by starting with a guilty party and working backward to how they did it, even when "it" didn't happen.

ps - does that activity sound slightly Stalinist to you, too?
