"The KKK: The Terrorist Wing Of The Democratic Party"
Today on the history channel they did most of the day on presidents. When they were talking about Johnson and reconstruction they used the phrase stated in the subject line. It hit me that I always associated that group of criminals to be republicans and maybe in my lifetime they have been, but it shocked me to hear it stated so
.

13. This year has given me a lot of hope. We have a woman and a black man
 in contention.

Two very important battles. Two very important voices. At least, we've come that far.

Must deflect the truth of history.......must deflect the truth

3. Really? It was only the Civil Rights Act that pushed those bigots
over to the welcoming Republican Party.

This country has a long sordid history of hatred. Let's at least keep it straight so we can get shod of it.

What a complete damn lie..............it was the Democrats that had this group.......wasn't Byrd a Grand Wizard.....did I miss when he changed from R to D.

10. Southern Dems, or "Dixiecrats" as they were known.
Growing up in Tennessee I remember it well. Strom Thurmond was an extremely loud and vocal one back in the day, filibustering against the various civil rights acts as they came up. Of course with the introduction of that Civil Rights act by the Dems, the Dixiecrats abandoned the Dems (good riddance)in droves and went to the repugs and have been there ever since.

History channel blows. Let the subliminal Dem bashing begin.

1. That Congress has no power under the Constitution, to interfere with or control the domestic institutions of the several States, and that such States are the sole and proper judges of everything appertaining to their own affairs, not prohibited by the Constitution; that all efforts of the abolitionists, or others, made to induce Congress to interfere with questions of slavery, or to take incipient steps in relation thereto, are calculated to lead to the most alarming and dangerous consequences; and that all such efforts have an inevitable tendency to diminish the happiness of the people and endanger the stability and permanency of the Union, and ought not to be countenanced by any friend of our political institutions.

2. That the foregoing proposition covers, and was intended to embrace the whole subject of slavery agitation in Congress; and therefore, the Democratic party of the Union, standing on this national platform, will abide by and adhere to a faithful execution of the acts known as the compromise measures, settled by the Congress of 1850; "the act for reclaiming fugitives from service or labor," included; which act being designed to carry out an express provision of the Constitution, cannot, with fidelity thereto, be repealed, or so changed as to destroy or impair its efficiency.

3. That the Democratic party will resist all attempts at renewing, in Congress or out of it, the agitation of the slavery question under whatever shape or color the attempt may be made.

Yeah, that would be the Democratic party's official platform of 1856...
The Republican party was founded to end slavery. The KKK started out as a bunch of Democrats who harassed, attacked and KILLED republicans.
That the DNC and the Moonbats ignore this history does not make it go away

The democrat party was founded on racism.  The democrat party thrived on racism.  The democrat party fought civil rights tooth 'n nail.  The democrat party of today is still the most racist organization in the world.  They have even coddled their very own  former Grand Dragon of the KKK, Robert "Sheets" Byrd, for the last fifty years.

One of the greatest accomplishments of the 20th century was how the democrats got black Americans to vote for their racist party.  The greatest mystery is why did black Americans let the democrats enslave them again with a philosophy of slavery in reverse?

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

The truth it buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurns!!
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

The hippies, the animal rights wacktovists, and the eco-terrorists are also part of the terrorist wing of the Democrat Party.

It's easy to see how the Democratics can so easily side with Islamic terrorists against their own country.
