rurallib (1000+ posts)Tue Oct-07-08 08:36 AMOriginal messageSo the other day I was in the Obama office in Muscatine and this Republican woman comes in. She mentioned her name and I immediately thought "man that is an old dead solid republican name." She came in to ask the organizer for an Obama sign. The organizer apologized as she had done probably had done a hundred times that week and explained she had none. And when they did come in, they would go to volunteers. The lady kind of huffed (obviously used to a little more deference) and said "well I just voted for Obama. It's the first time I ever voted for a Democrat and I wanted a sign to let people know."I did offer her some signs of our other fine candidates. She said "No. I only voted for Obama." Oh well, we won a partial victory.
ooooooo...New Hunting Ground! Thanks for the tip Ralph!

LOL just what does a republican name sound like? Is that the same as saying, "man that is an old dead solid black name."?
