Hello, my name is Silverback, and I'm a former Republican...

Who finally decided tonight I'm voting for Obama.

I've never really liked McCain, I was a Republican Liberty Caucus member and Ron Paul supporter, voted for Badnarik in '04 (safe state), and figured my state was in the bag for Obama so I could safely vote fringe again in protest of what the Republican party has become, but it's become abundantly clear to me the paleo/libertarian tradition is completely dead in the R party and McCain/Palin are just too stupid and dishonest to be allowed in a position of power.

That and Obama has impressed me more every time I've seen him speak.

Believe me, I was a hard case, it isn't easy for an Austrian school type to make the leap and vote for a Democrat, but I'm making it because the "conservative" movement is completely bankrupt in every imaginable sense of the word and the nation needs competent leadership.

Just thought I'd share, feels good actually.

Wasn't there a guy that was at DU that was banned and joined up at CU under that name?

So you're a paleo/libertarian Republican who thinks McCain and Palin are stupid, so your first instinct is to dive into the most rabid, batshit -crazy Leftist cesspit on Teh Internets.

Okay.

Sure.

I believe it.

Just another DUmmie troll. The way to handle them is not to ban them...just ignore them.

They live for attention. ANY attention, good or bad. Like a spoiled kid that never got quite enuff of mommies attention.

They just don't make rubber like they used to.

The other guy was named "silverhair" and he's at NU now.  He did mess with them for 2 or 3 years before he finally got the ax.

With thinking like that, I can believe the Ron Paul part, but the rest sounds like total BS.

There is/used to be a Mr. Silverback at Free Republic.

I once was a democrat myself. I expected everything to be given to me. Everything had to be done for me. It was all about me, me, me. Food, shelter, healthcare shouldn't cost me a dime. .......then Momma potty trained me and weaned me off her tit.....Dammit.... :-)

I remember a Silverback at RN.   Ron Paul supporter who jumps ships to the far left?    Yep, that seems right.

I might be wrong but I thought when silverhair was banned
from DU, he showed up at CU as old baldy.

Before the crash and the Ronbot invasion that is.

Like I said I might be wrong.

Nope, you got it exactly right.  He just didn't stay at CU very long before he jumped to NU.
