It's probably already been mentioned, but it's worth repeating to some level.
Herman Cain appeals to the everyday person. He tells it like it is and is refreshingly honest. He also speaks in terms that everybody can understand.
These are things that the D.C. power base can't stand. Cain is a Washington outsider and I fervently believe that, because of that, he wouldn't be welcomed by either of the two political parties should he win the nomination and later, the election.
This is not to say that Cain shouldn't run or shouldn't do the things he's doing. On the contrary.
The indictment I'm proposing is the absolute shithole that D.C. has become. If you ain't a professional bureaucrat, politician, lobbyist, or leech, you're not welcome in D.C. because you make sense. You're trying to get things done. D.C. stopped trying to get things done years ago, other than to win reelections or to line their pockets with more taxpayer money.
