I chose that name because I'm proud to be from the south and also because I am hard of hearing (I wear hearing aids)!
Back at CU, someone mistook me for a guy so I changed my avatar to reflect that I am indeed, a chick.  When I came here I decided to use my Beagle's name (Dixie) and I added Darling to it since it's a "pet" name for her when I am spoiling on her.
