The only question I have is why did Trump wait so long? Why wouldn't he want the truth to be known long before Mueller's report was released?

Did Trump actually and naively believe that Pelousy and Chuck the Schmuck were going to play ball?

Two reasons immediately come to mind.

1. I guess Trump wanted to wait until it was over so it wouldn't look like obstruction, even though it wouldn't have been.
2. Sessions.
