What a wild ride it has been. I've made so many great acquaintances at CU and obviously now the Cave. As well as the pleasure of meeting several folks in real life, and some others with who've I'm shared silly phone conversations over the years. And you know who you are.
A few people who I recall had that "join date" of April 2004 were FlaGator, Jendf (not active here but around on Facebook). USA4ME and several others predated me by a month or two.
I've gone from being a married dude in his early 30's in Chicago to a divorcee in his early 50's in a different Midwestern state.
It has been a pleasure to make all of your acquaintances over the years. Just felt like reminiscing. :cheersmate: :cheersmate: :cheersmate:

Now you made want to go look'
Jan 4 2008. 14 years.
Yes, it has been interesting. And there are are people I miss.

June 4th, 2008 for me. I was at USMilNet.com before that.
Been a helluva ride, for sure.
-
I don't even know how to find the exact date I joined CU. Bush was the president though. So, it's been a while.
-
I've been 'knowing' a lot of you for a long time and that's all I know. It has been a good time though!

By the way, does anybody still remember Vesta?

On my phone at least, my email won't go back that far, and I don't know that I really want to know. More and more age reminders keep popping up. :-)

January 2nd of 2008 for CC for me, but I was on CU before that and I don't know how long before I came over here.
I remember Vesta!

Q: What's the difference between sleeping with a German-woman and sleeping with a corpse?
A: Nothing.
The Red Skull forum was the first forum I ever joined, sometime around the beginning of the Lewinsky fiasco, originally intending to spend the rest of my personal life posting about culture. But when the Y2K fiasco happened, I was beginning to post political stuff and was banned from Armageddon Online for being conservative.
Then I was banned from the Conservative Political Forum as 'Kit Saginaw', for supporting Trump. Thus I joined Conservative Underground as 'Cadillac Shark' until technical-difficulties beached that catamaran. Now I'm here, awaiting what happens next.

It's amusing Ralph that you and I joined on the same day 20 years ago.

An interesting coincidence, indeed.
Remember a few discussions both here and at CU about when/why everyone joined and you were certainly one of that class of '04. A person's join date was prominently listed over at our old home on every post so it was noticeable. Searched my oldest active e-mail account and found that nugget.

God bless you Frank for your strength!
Was referring to our old home where I first encountered many of you.
There are countless people we were involved with in lengthy discussions at one of these places who have either disappeared of their own free will or the lord took them from this earth. I'm certain I'd forget names (and yeah, I remember Vesta), so I won't bother reciting them.

I don't remember my join date for CU but for here it looks like January 1 2001. Thats been a long time many things have changed, Both good and bad but that is life. the face that this place is still around is what matters. I am glad to have known all of you people . We might not always agree but it is better than other places and Facebook by more then a country mile.

12/13/2009 here at the Cave. The forum on which I was a Mod, AnnoyedArmy.com, was dying of neglect and I was looking for a new forum home. I ended up spending a few years on RepublicanOperative.com, also as a Mod. RO came apart at the seams due to a few members who got angry and bitter that someone they disagreed with didn't get summarily banned, and because of an absentee owner who ignored very direct warnings that there was a hole or holes in site security (just call me Cassandra) until he had to shut it down when a hacker got in. I think ~1/3 of my collection of BS's is from one of the angry RO members who was also a member here (he hadn't logged in for several years, but I see he logged in several weeks ago).
The first clause of the thread title had me wondering if the thread was about Sgt. Pepper.

Hey, guys. I'm back!
Somehow got locked out and just got back into the account. Who knows...
I got to CU in the spring of 2005, mid-way through a tour in Iraq. When everything exploded in our old home, came over here.
Its going to be a fun election season... I hope you are all strapped in.

I'm not sure but I think Rush mentioned DU on one of his shows so I joined DU and was promptly banned. In searching I came across CU and joined.
