SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one of their own officers dead Wednesday night.

Authorities responded a shooting call just before 8:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Midway Avenue in Shreveport’s Caddo Heights neighborhood.

According to the Shreveport Police Officer Association, the victim is a female officer that was described as “young, beautiful, and dedicated to serving the Citizens of Shreveport” in a Facebook post early Thursday morning.

Another young female police officer was killed, Chateri Payne, Shreveport police officer. She was killed before Davis police officer Natalie Corona was killed.
