'Hannah Montana' Star: I Do Everything for Jesus

“Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus and her best friend Mandy Jiroux have dedicated their Easter installment of "The Miley and Mandy Show" on YouTube to Jesus, saying everything they do is for him.

In the video, Jiroux, 20, who performs as a back-up dancer for the popular teen star, reads a question from a fan who asked if the girls were Christian.

The squeaky-clean duo emphatically respond, "Yes!"

"Yes! We love Jesus!" says Cyrus, 15, as she nods her head in agreement. "Happy Easter, by the way. He died for our sins. That's how awesome he is.

"Jesus rocks! That's why we do what we do," the Hannah Montana star adds. "She (Mandy) dances for Jesus. I sing, dance and act for Jesus! ... Now that I think about it, I do everything for Jesus. We make the YouTube videos for Jesus. We’re all about it."

Her comments should come as no surprise to fans who have been following her career.

Of course they have nothing but nice things to say about Jesus or Miley Cyrus.  :whatever:

They claim that they're tolerant, that they don't hate Christians or Christianity, yet they go out of their way to mock and ridicule even the most innocuous expression of Christian faith. If you were to call them on it, they'd get all indignant and cop a "how dare you" attitude. :whatever:

If someone were to create a thread like that mocking Islam, however, they'd be smashing the alert buttons so hard they'd need new keyboards in the morning.

I'm sure the fact the girl is about the most influential star on the planet right now really chaps a DUmmie's butt.

I'm guessing they're pissed off because their fantasies of a Hannah Montana "Very Special Episode" now seems unlikely.

Now just why would Du'ers want any kind of positive message to get to pre-teens and teens?  Can't have these young minds poisoned by religion!  They might grow up to be productive citizens!

I'd love to hose the whole DU site down with Holy Water!  Back to Hell demons!

I just hope that her parents are better than Britney's or Lindsay Lohan's.  Which they appear to be.

I'm sure she's a very nice young lady.

Touche!
I don't think Hannah will be making a public spectacle of herself by kissing Madonna much to DU's dismay.

Her dad being Billy Ray Cyrus, I think he knows the showbiz ropes.  He's a devout Christian too.

Yes, it looks like they'll take good care of her.

It really amazes me at the number of people I know who want to see her fall from grace, just like the others before her.  She sings clean music (even if it's not my style of choice) that kids love to listen to.  It's far better than rap or any of the dirtier pop music.

I go to all these entertainment sites, which do whatever possible to come up with negative stories about Miley, and it seriously irritates me (remember those photos that circulated the Internet awhile back?  :whatever: )

People these days don't want to see goody-two shoes, they want all the nasty details of their private lives, in order to see them ruined (ala Britney and Lindsay).

I pray that Miley can keep her wits about her in such a nasty business as the music/tv industry.  Hopefully, her parents will keep close watch.

You should see the South Park episode on Britney Spears from a couple of weeks ago.

Fret not, DU.  While this may have put a damper on the ol' fanta-Montantasy, you can still lock the bathroom door and take care of business with select passages from a James Webb novel.

I read an article about the Cyrus family. They impose a bedtime, curfew, chores and give her a modest allowance. She's light years ahead of Britney in terms of coming out okay.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I remember hearing on the radio that her parents cut up her credit cards for buying a $5,000 purse.  Apparently, obscene self-indulgence is frowned upon in the Cyrus household.

Miss Mia, NO ONE needs to see the South Park episode on Britney Spears from a couple of weeks ago - it was disturbing!

it was also pointless, plotless, and humorless.  sometimes Trey Parker and Matt Stone over-reach for some deeper social meaning when they probably should have just gone with lice flying out of anglina jolie's you-know-what-what.

i was just making a point.  sometimes south park episodes seem to go nowhere, and then they destroy you in the final 30 seconds.  last week, it started going nowhere, and it ended nowhere.

i missed this week's episode;  the dodgers started at the same time . . .
