OK, so the asshole in chief says there has not been a house vote to start the inquiry.
Madame Speaker, do you have the votes? If so, call for a vote, call his bluff.
Thank you.

1. House doesn't have to have a vote to start inquiry.
It's up to the leader.

3. There doesn't need to be a House vote to start an inquiry.
Don’t let that asshole set the rules for a branch of government he isn’t part of.

10. No.
Speaker Pelosi doesn't work for the executive branch and does not need to follow their orders regarding how the legislative branch operates.

Yup, she really knows what to do. BUT she never had to deal with a guy like Trump.
She listened to a bunch of newbies and the music has stopped and she is left holding the big smelly turd! :loser: :loser: :loser:

There was already an impeachment vote and it failed, that is why Nancy will not allow another vote.

Trump publicly demanding a vote is signals confidence and is not the action of one who is bluffing. The Dems' delay, FUD, and secrecy tactics signal that they have a low-card multi-suit broken straight that the "River" can't fix.

And IF they vote to proceed, the R's in the House will have subpoena power. Should be fun.

Which is a large part of why the Dems are playing the game they are playing. They know what kinds of things will be revealed, and they know their witnesses cannot hold up if the Rs' cross-examine.

Hate to say it but you are wrong.
There have been three failed impeachment votes.

20. Let Nancy decide.
She did decide. She didn't want anything to do with impeachment. You whackos, in concert with nutballs who only want to promote themselves like Nadler, Schiff, OAC, and others, have pushed for impeachment and forced her hand. So don't give me this "let Nancy decide" nonsense. That ship has sailed.

I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play on TV, but it seems to me that without a vote to start the inquiry, all the dems are doing is conducting a fishing expedition which President Trump is not obligated to cooperate with. Is that about correct?
-
And if impeachment DOES happen, and they take it to the senate, then being the majority party the Republicans can set up THEIR schedule, which would include one hell of a lot of subpoenas to people who were involved in the "reason" impeachment happened in the first place. Since it ostensibly happened because of Ukrainian and, in extension, Russian collusion, they can subpoena EVERYONE, such as Clapper, Brennan, both Clintons, Lynch, Comey, Stzrok, Lisa Page, both Bidens, and a whole slew of other idiots. And being a presidential removal trial of an impeached president, the Senate can instruct the DOJ to ENFORCE the subpoena orders at risk of federal Jail time. That would essentially be one humongous in-kind donation to every Republican running for federal office.
-
She won't call a vote to have an impeachment inquiry because (1) it imperils any swing district House Dems who vote for it and embarrasses her if any of them vote against it, and (2) she might lose.
While the DUmmies can say 'He can't set rules for her,' the converse is true, and he can continue to ignore her on the basis that she can't set kangaroo court rules for her so-called investigation.

And that is exactly what it is... a political game. Hoping to keep their base fired up for the next election. There was an article on thehill.com that explains why this is theater... can't find it now... that basically said until an impeachment vote is taken and passed the Trump admin can refuse to cooperate with any and all requests.. That seems to be exactly what is playing out.

From what I read, that is correct. Won't see that on the MSM though. I truly believe that this is the MSM last gasp at relevance and based on what I have seen in the transcript of the call, there is no way this is going anywhere.

The democrat party will have their "whistleblower lawyer" contact him so he can claim he is a whistleblower and was doing this for the good of the Country...
