Last weekend, I was helping to lead the kids in my church's youth group in a retreat.
When "Earth Hour" occurred this year (I wasn't aware of when it would be, and didn't care), I think I was at the time with a group of the kids playing Manhunt (Basically like hide and seek in the dark across the retreat camp's wide grounds), with the dorms' lights all on for the kids who didn't want to participate, then after that we came inside, hooked up a DVD player, and watched 'The Passion of the Christ.'
My biggest "Screw you, Earth Hour" action happened I believe two years ago when they did it. That day, I went to see my best friend (Who lived a good two hour drive from my place), and we drove to a Toby Mac/ Skillet concert. That "Earth Hour," while the DUmmies and other self- righteous hippies were turning off everything modern/ electric and wallowing in their own smugness, my friend and I were in a huge outdoor ampitheater with awesome light and sound systems on full blast (Which must have burned through God knows how much electricity), rocking out to Skillet and having the time of our lives!
