Greek Hospital Workers Strike

Quote
May 4 (Bloomberg) -- Greek government workers shut down schools and hospitals and disrupted flights as demonstrators occupied the Acropolis in an escalation of protests against 30 billion euros ($40 billion) of additional wage cuts and tax increases unveiled this week.

The ADEDY union federation, which represents more than 500,000 civil servants having their pensions and pay slashed under measures announced May 2 by Prime Minister George Papandreou, will hold a rally at midday joined by striking teachers. A general strike, the third this year, is planned for tomorrow, with private-sector workers due to participate.

Unions are a monopoly on labor.

Dems love unions because they legislate in favor of the unions and then the unions give them kickbacks called campaign donations.

Remember the dems wanted to unionize the TSA. It's hard enough to fire one of those idiots.

Now imagine the dems making healthcare a gov't service. Then they unionize those services for their usual 30 pieces of silver.

Then as costs rise a decade or so in the future a reformer gets elected and tries to stave off finanial ruin. Since gov't workers tend to make 40-plus percent more than their private sector counterparts the unionized workers decide they will shutdown people's access to healthcare rather than conform to market rules.

Meanwhile the unions will continue to back the corruptocrats.

Abolish unions; especially for any job accepting government money. Abolish goverment services that can be met in the free market.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Unionizing health care workers is the prime reason that the SEIU backed health care reform.
