Wow... just wow... you have to be kidding right? Our military is sitting at 546,000 at the END of 2012. United States Army

Contrast that with the Chinese army, one of your Commie friends, they have 2,285,000.  That is over 4 times the amount of our country. They are currently ranked as the largest standing army in the world.

People's Liberation Army.

'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt'.

Mark Twain

In a congressional hearing last week, Panetta told a congressional  committee that 85% of our military is not prepared in the event of something happening and he was quite worried about it.

He leaves office at the end of this month when Hagel takes over and finishes the military off.

The DUmmies should be pleased that their Messiah is dismantling the evil war machine.

All this crap about desensitizing kids to violence by learning how to use a gun is crap.

These people think nothing of sitting on a bank with their kids, reaching into a can, pulling out a good size worm and running it through a time or two with a hook and throwing it in the water.  Along comes a fish with the hook in their mouth, [must hurt ] and land them to watch them suffocate on land.    This is not teaching violence ???

Then there is the catch and release that just rips the fishes mouth, a torture the poor thing ,and then let it go.

So with a gun it is a one shot thing, and if the animal gets away it may take hours to track it and put it down. Not an easy job but one has to do it, there is no shoot and release for whatever happens to big game.

So the Libs kids go fishing, parents think nothing of torturing live bait and the poor fish caught suffers regardless.

Along comes a Lib to remark on teaching your kids to hunt with a one shot down, they have the nerve to bitch that you are teaching your kids at 8 years old to use a gun to kill yet their 5 year old has a fishing pole in hand.

No one I know when a fish gets snapped off the hook and swims away dives in to track them down to  remove the hook.

HOWEVER when a bad shot does not kill a deer a good hunter will spend a couple days in the woods to find it and put it out of its misery.

This is sensitizing children to the pain of others and if can cause them to spend as much time as necessary to end the problem.  Don't matter if it is snowing or bitter cold, one has to keep going to find the deer or what ever to end their pain.

I am not bitching about fishing here, just making a comparison of those that fish and those that hunt. Both is a form of hunting, and catching, but to allow a 4-5 year old to fish and then complain about a 5 year old learning to hunt with all the responsibly that does not come with fishing is quite absurd.
