Remember many Republicans are not whacked out Tea Baggers and are very uncertain if they want to support those crazies that are running under the Republican banner..Democrats on the other hand most definitely do not want the loonies loose in Congress any more than there already are that is..I would bet any Liberals that are on sites such as DU or Daily Kos or Huffington Post are what some would call political junkies and would NEVER think of not voting.. Most of us Liberals do not have a lot of money, so it is very hard to compete for the attention of our Representatives against the Money Bags that throw cash at them. The ONLY thing that we have that candidates want from us is our vote..It is the only leverage we have to use to get their attention.. Most know, like Rahm has stated, we have no where else to go, so they have not really been very worried about losing our vote... We did do a lot of bitching though and making threats that we knew and they knew were impotent, but I do believe we got their attention..Otherwise we would not be hearing so much belly aching about Liberals staying home.. We are not going to stay home...Democrats are going to do just fine this election... Regular voters that don't pay a lot of attention until the last couple of weeks will come out in the same numbers as always, except possibly for Republicans.. they really are unsure if they want to vote or not...and Liberals that do pay attention, well you can take it to the bank that they will show up. There is no way in Hell that anyone that really pays attention would allow the nuts to win... ain't gunna happen..

Rec. You are right! ANY Democrat would have to be crazy to "sit out" this election - any election, really, but especially this one, with the super crazy RWers running the GOP. Look at Governor Christie of New Jersey and think what he could do to your state, or the Congress!I think the GOP moderates are more likely to stay home than we are.mark

Wrong again, but you're a Democrat, so I guess it's only to be expected.
