It was always obvious that the primitives maintain a deep loathing and contempt for each other; if one looks beneath the surface, it's a lurid, grotesque frenzy of hate for each other.  They seek to use each other, to manipulate each other, but they surely don't seek to love each other.

I would bet that this drama has even caught skimmers attention. When it's finally exposed at the DUmp, he will feign indignation as expected. In reality, he's waiting for for this to play out like everyone else. I have no doubt that skimmer is aware of this thread.

Skimmer probably has a little better insight regarding the timeline of events as he most likely has received PM's from Dougie. Skimmer will tell Doug that he is concerned but the truth is that he doesn't give a shit about Doug's future one way or another as Doug has lost the ability to donate any more that five dollars per year. Skimmer has seven thousand others DUmmies that is part of the collective that donate to his vacation fund. They are his primary concern, not Doug's misadventures.

Doug Bulna is soon to find out just how many friends that he does have. It would seem that his enemies take more interest in his life than his so called friends do. Dougie is totally screwed.

If one follows the time-line of the comments, both over on Skins's island and here, it's obvious the brain-damaged primitive's campfire would've inspired nothing more than a "ho-hum, the primitives are suppressing other points of view"--that is, until he insulted the "freepers."

By "freepers," I assume he includes not only members of freerepublic, but also members of our old home and the decent and civilized people who read the DUmpster here.

After DB self-deleted his OP on Monday afternoon, August 26, he has made only two posts since: one, on Thursday, August 29, about "Patrick the Miracle Dog"; and the other, on Friday, September 6, about "The Loudest Dog Bark in the World." Both of these posts were in the obscure, off-the-beaten-path Pets Group, and in neither post did DB himself offer any comment of his own. The few people who frequent the Pets Group may not even be aware of the colossal kerfunkle that DB caused with his hiding-the-remote thread. They're only interested in the doggies and teh kittehs, not in a Fox.

DB has not DARED to post anything in General Discussion (or even in the Lounge), where people WOULD ask him about the Case of the Missing Remote and DB's present employment, or lack thereof. He MAY, at some point, re-emerge on GD, and maybe even talk about what has happened--the temptation may be too strong for him to stay away forever.
