Reserved parking for hybrids
« on: January 08, 2011, 10:59:14 PM »
One of the stupidest things I've seen lately.   I in a grocery store parking lot, closest to the store are spaces reserved for the handicapped, that's cool.  Next there are spaces reserved for 'Pregnant women or parents with young children', I'm not sure that's necessary but I can sort of understand.  Next there are spaces that say 'Hybrid Cars Only'.   Really???   I wish I had a Humvee, I would park there.

Yeah, we have a few of them in Las Vegas.  Every time I see one, I park my gas guzzling V8 in the stall.

And I'm sure all the metrosexuals give you a burning stink-eye as they walk out of Whole Foods.

Usually those spots are smaller aren't they?

Yup--which makes taking two of them that much more fun.

Oh wait--we don't have them up here.  Ever seen a hybrid or a Smart Car on the road that just had 18 inches of snow dumped on it?  Hilarious.

Not the ones I saw, they were regular spaces right after "Parent" spaces.   I have seen smaller spaces reserved for compact cars.  That makes sense.

I wouldn't have to give a second thought to parking my MG there.  It burns oil and gas.   :-)
