Republican Mitt Romney won Nevada's caucuses Saturday while John McCain and Mike Huckabee dueled in the South Carolina primary, a campaign doubleheader likely to winnow the crowded field of presidential rivals.
Good for Mitt....

The Elephant In The Room
I've been casually taking swipes at Mitt Romney for the past year based on the assumption that, in the end, Republicans would choose him as our nominee. My thinking was that Romney would be our nominee because he is manifestly the best candidate.
I had no idea that Republican voters in Iowa and New Hampshire planned to do absolutely zero research on the candidates and vote on the basis of random impulses.
Dear Republicans: Please do one-tenth as much research before casting a vote in a presidential election as you do before buying a new car.
One clue that Romney is our strongest candidate is the fact that Democrats keep viciously attacking him while expressing their deep respect for Mike Huckabee and John McCain.

Holy crap...................Our saviour came in second.
This proves it............Ron Paul will win

If Romney gets the nomination, I will vote for him. Fred is my first choice and he is more conservative than the rest of them. The article is dead on about the media wanting Huck or McCain to be our nominee. The media tried to prop up McCain vs Bush because they knew he would be easier to defeat. They are pulling the same crap this time around.

Wow. Romney got more than four times the votes of the nearest runner-up.

not to be a dittohead, but i agree with you 100 percent.
i think people are sick and tired of the media the past few years.. on both sides. we see how they operate and we can tell who's partisan and who's not.
they get so much just flat wrong, its a wonder they can even tell what is actual news any more.
but yeah, im still pulling for Fred in South Carolina... he needs a strong showing there to keep going forward. even he said so on FOX this past week.

What is Giuliani waiting for? He has not done well anywhere.

He has 4 now with 89% in. :lmao:

....Romney's first race was against Sen. Teddy Kennedy -- whom he came closer to beating than any Republican ever had. If Romney needed to quote "The Communist Manifesto" to take out that corpulent drunk, all men of good will would owe him a debt of gratitude.
:rotf:
Ann nails it with this article. Thanks for posting it!
