Wow. First time I have seen those.

The IR pictures are so incredible.

I also was curious to see the so-called robot used to tear off the tarp.

Fascintating. J P Sousa's pic and the last pic in the first post were clearly taken prior to the tarp being torn. Ladder in place on both, and some sort of portal for the tarp is evident.

The homeowner who checked the boat got a real face full of that kid when he peeked in. It's a miracle he was alive to make the call to the cops.

Wow, interesting.  Last night when I was listening to the scanner, every couple of minutes one of them would say "no movement".  This must have been what he was looking at.

Absolutely correct on the homeowner not getting a face full of lead. The punk was hurt badly, evidently, and after the firefight was wounded even more.

There seem to be a lot of people who favor this kid living so he can be "interrogated." Probably while sipping on a cocktail and admiring his fingernails.

AFAIK, this punk should have died in the "firefight." Mass. State Police couldn't manage to permanently put this punk away? More range time?  :whatever: Instead of the press conference from the colonel of the MSP who just brayed on and on and on about how "grateful" he was in working with the feds.

Yeah, right.  :rotf:

More wasted resources going to the punk's medical care, food, clothing, housing, and the rest of his "needs" while his case works through the courts. How many millions of dollars will that be?  :banghead:

Unbelievable.

He may not have been a convicted killer...yet.... but he was more than a suspect.

If he was innocent then why was he trying to hide in a boat?

And why shoot and throw bombs at cops if he was sweet and innocent?

I did not say he was innocent (or sweet). I said he had not been convicted of any crime at the time of his arrest. Many folks object to cops killing incapacitated perps when a simple arrest is an option.

I understand what you guys are saying, but I also don't believe that you honestly want to abandon our judicial system.

Some of us are sick and tired of being sick and tired, and are just as glad to hear "suspect died at the scene" as put up with the latest "Trial of the Century".  We (OK, I) don't want to abandon anything, but we (OK, I) don't get worked up when it turns out that way either.

I get that. I am hardly disappointed to learn that a mass killer uses the last bullet on himself.

I can almost imagine the Boston cops waiting to give him plenty of opportunity to "do the right thing."

"What do you mean comprehensive doesn't cover this?"

It used to be excluded years ago. New laws were enacted after 9/11 and signed by President Bush.

There is still a difference between an "act of war" and "terrorism."

I have to make a correction.   The law enforcement on the scene of the capture were state police (they have a special federal fugitive unit also); FBI, and ATF.    Metro Swat were going door to door and were on scene, but this was for the most part all state police.

I understand your feelings,

Obviously you don't..otherwise you wouldn't have said:

You've got to either be an idiot or someone from DU to believe this guy isn't guilty.  The trial (hopefully ay GITMO) will be nothing more than a formality.

"What do you mean comprehensive doesn't cover this?"

Quote
Several states, including Florida, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas, forbid terrorism exclusions, according to a report on terrorism’s impact on homeowners insurance from the Missouri Bar Association. Check with your state’s insurance commissioner. Even so, Bach warns that it’s possible an insurance company would try to classify a large-scale terrorist attack as an act of war.

http://www.houselogic.com/home-advice/home-insurance/homeowners-insurance-terrorism-covered/

Check your policy for exceptions. Insurance companies always try to "weasel out" when a claim is filed.

I understand your feelings, but he was still a suspect and not a convicted killer.

ExGeeEye put it very well. I'm sick and tired of hearing all the braying about the suspect's "rights." Yeah, he's got rights. Hmmm. I wonder what happened to the rights of that 8-year-old boy who died at the hands of this ****ing "suspect?"

But more to my point. Massachusetts State Police -- at least a dozen of them -- engaged in a ****ing FIREFIGHT with this "suspect" while he's wounded in a boat and they don't manage to put this critter out of our misery? And render the boat into a sieve in the process?

Looks to me like instead of the Mass. State Police colonel who, in his ridiculous looking peaked cap, brayed on and on and on about how wonderful his troopers were really ought to take a look at how many rounds were expended at this "suspect" and yet they still fail to put this critter out of our misery.

Maybe some additional range time, colonel?

I saw the video tape and heard the flash-bangs and heard the firefight.

Mass. State Police -- your performance at the scene of the boat is shameful.
