(CNN) -- Employees were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in the machine shop at the Joe Gibbs Racing headquarters in North Carolina Tuesday, the team said in a statement.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, which began when a piece of equipment at the shop in Huntersville caught fire, the team said.
