Pelosi Accuses CIA of Misleading Congress on Waterboarding

""I am telling you they told me they approved these and said they wanted to use them but said they were not using waterboarding," she said."
If she's talking, she's lying.

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday accused the CIA of misleading Congress about its use of enhanced interrogation techniques used on terror detainees.

"Yes I am saying the CIA was misleading the Congress and at the same time the (Bush) administration was misleading the Congress on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, to which I said that this intelligence doesn't support the imminent threat," Pelosi said at her weekly news conference.

"Every step of the way the administration was misleading the Congress and that is the issue and that's why we need a truth commission," she added.

Under a barrage of questioning, Pelosi also again adamantly insisted that she was not aware that waterboarding or other enhanced interrogation techniques were being used on terrorism suspects and

"I am telling you they told me they approved these and said they wanted to use them but said they were not using waterboarding," she said. "  FNC

She just doesn't know when to put the shovel aside and to stop digging.  :rotf:

Two years ago, it was pretty well acknowledged by conservatives that Nancy Pelosi was a woman who had risen through the ranks on the efforts of her betters, and that once in a leadership position her cracks would show, and ultimately be found wanting, if not actually crash and burn in a spectacular manner.

Well, fast forward to today.  She's in over her head.  She knows it.  Yet she still can't resist telling a different story on each day in the hope that there are so many versions out there, ONE of them just HAS to be the right one, and people will simply throw up their hands and move on.

Nice goin, Stretch.  If ignorance was indeed bliss, you'd be a much happier person right now.  As for me, I'll just sit back and watch the train wreck and hope you don't screw up the country too much in the process.

She better watch it with the CIA...IIRC they offered a couple weeks ago to provide someone to brief the Speaker on when and what exactly she was told about our interrogation techniques.

For some reason she didn't accept the offer.

But she did alter her story slightly.

She claims to have been "mislead". She has made the claim to have been "mislead" on several things. Question is, If she can be mislead so easily, what the hell is she doing in such a position of power?

Not a very smart move on pelosi's part going after the CIA.

I guess she forgot that there is a black unit within the CIA, much like the KGB death squads, who have turned  undetectable assassination into an art.

Wouldn't it be sad to turn on the tube some morning to an announcement that pelosi died in her sleep? :rotf:

The way I understood Neil Cavuto a while ago, Fox has asked for the minutes of that meeting where she was "informed but not briefed" (huh?) to be released to the public.

If it gets released and it was as others who were there report.....she is sooooo screwed..    :evillaugh:

The left had set up the photo release to enrage and emotionally charge up America for war trials for the Bush administration.
And now its all blown up in their faces. Obama isn't releasing any more pictures. Any truth commission will be side tracked by the GOP asking questions of Nancy. I don't think there will be a commission.

I am from FL and Graham, while he was senator, became an embarrassment as he distanced himself from Bush and the war.  If he says that, it is quite an indictment.  The Republican minority leader on the committee was quoted as saying Ms. Pelosi has MISREMEMBERED what happened.  What a cute way of saying "The bitch is lying through her teeth!"  Boy I wish I had thought of that, such tact....

What really irks me is this.  The libs went bananas when Newt stepped in doo-doo and demanded his resignation.  Why the heck aren't the house republicans in lock step demanding Pelosi step down?
