So the question of the day....What the hell has been happening to CC over the last couple of days? Since it's inception, CC has had three Admins: Rebel, Thor and Wretched Excess (WE). As with any board, there have been disagreements and disappoints which contributed to the situation we found ourselves in this week. As with any dispute, there is more than one side to the story and we feel that it's best to address them head-on and move forward for the sake of the board.
Most of you are probably aware of Rebel relinquishing Admin rights a few days back. This was in response to Wretched Excess's unilateral decision to demote Undies from a global mod to a topic mod. Well, this was the straw that kind of broke the camel's back to coin a phrase.
Thor's personal life has been drawing him away from here for a while, and due to a comment he made, Wretched Excess decided to remove his Admin rights as well without discussing it with Thor. The Moderators thought that this was a mutual decision made between the two so questions weren't really asked until it became apparent we needed to ask them. Point of clarification at a moderator's request: once the answers did start coming in it was apparant that the situation was not what myself and Chris and the rest of the Mod staff were thinking it was measures were taken to revert to status quo.
Wretched Excess (WE) gave Chris and and myself Admin rights when Rebel resigned as Admin and Thor was removed. So we took it in stride and started to follow Sam's lead as the remaining original Admin. We were not told beforehand nor consulted. We worked with the information we had and asked questions that went unanswered. As such, we both decided to step up to the plate and to try and restore peace and do what's legal and fair for the board, it's ownership and daily management.
Everyone saw what happened in the Fight Club, and there is no point in rehashing that. Clearly poor judgment was excerised and it's time to fix it.
What is important is what this means for CC. WE has decided to step down as an Administrator. He will remain here as a Member. Thor has had his Admin rights restored. Rebel will as well if he wants it. The Moderators will keep going about their business as normal. There may be some possible shuffling around in "ranks" but nothing that will have major impact to the board.
Now for you, the members, we ask that you just keep going as normal. Conservative Cave is not going anywhere anytime soon. Everyone here wants nothing but the best for this forum, even if some mistakes where made in trying to achieve that.
