One of the Black Belts at a nearby karate school makes whips. My instructor and I both ordered one. I got mine about a week and a half ago.
My instructor's whip looks like this:
mine is Black and Blue, rather than Black and Red. Cracking a whip is harder than it looks and all about timing. I have managed to learn three different ways to crack, and I had no idea how many different ways there are to crack a whip. When I brought it home, I had no idea what I was doing and after a few minutes flailing around on the front lawn, I went inside and looked up how to crack a whip on YouTube. This is both, more fun and more challenging than I had expected.
