I've made up my mind......I'm giving my money away.
 I chanced upon a second job. This is a job I've done for the past fourteen years, in my spare time. I've had some people contact me who are actually going to pay me for this work.

I will pay off a few small bills and one big one. I should have a few thousand left, at least--five to ten. I have decided to go to a homeless shelter and find a family. Or a couple of single people. It doesn't matter. As long as they're not on drugs, or have mental problems. I've thought about renting an apartment for them and buying them a car.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can do this better?
 

Besides telling bouncies, the second most popular thing to do at the dump is to brag about their good deeds (that they probably don't do anyway).

30. I already own a fixer-upper.
 It just seems selfish to use this money for that. I know that it would probably be a smart thing to do, but.....I was thinking about a place for former prisoners to stay. Lots of them don't have a support system.

Shouldn't she be doing the proper liberal thing and just give the money to the government?  Doesn't the DUmp often advocate that the government is so much better at that than any individual charity?  ::)

Cudos is he really goes thru with the donation.  Many people would not do that.  But, for any of the members of the asylum over there to critizie anyone that wishes to donate either their own money or time to a cause that they support, is total crap.  When I donate money it is for or to something that I support.  I do it for me, not anyone else.  And if anyone is "offended " or "put out" over how I spend my money, well a Spiro Agnew bird flip to you.

What I'd like to know is why is it any time a dummie gives money, clothing, plants, whatever of any kind, they feel the need to broadcast it for everyone else to pat them on the back? See this is why I think they are so full of crap. They are altruistic only if everyone else is looking--I bet they are the types that have to make some kind of ruckus when bringing a bag of clothes into Goodwill or something. I think it's why they hold the views they do so they can show all the world how compassionate they are on the outside--and it's so easy to do with someone else's money, but even with their own, it has to be shouted from the rooftops that they are giving, soft-hearted people. What a bunch of a self serving buttheads!
