1. The Godfather (30 per cent)- Saw part of it. Thought it was stupid and turned it off

    2. Casablanca (13 per cent)- watched it on one rainy weekend day a few years ago

    3. Taxi Driver (11 per cent)- saw part of it. Boring.... switched the channel

    4. 2001: A Space Odyssey (9 per cent)- have fallen asleep every single time I've tried to watch it

    5. Reservoir Dogs (8 per cent)- haven't seen. Probably will never watch because I don't care for Tarantino films

    6. This Is Spinal Tap (7 per cent)- boring, switched the channel. Glad I never paid to go see this one

    7. Apocalypse Now (6 per cent)- Seen it. Struggled through it.

    8. Goodfellas (5 per cent)- Didn't waste my time

    9. Blade Runner (5 per cent)- Seen it. Mediocre Sci-fi

    10. The Great Escape (4 per cent) [PressAssociation via SlashFilm] - Have watched this a few times.

I have never seen Casablanca.  I have seen the others.  I liked some of them.  2001 was just about the most boring movie ever.  I had to take a lot of film classes for my first college major so I sat through movies that no one should ever have to watch.

For me, showing 2010 was the most exciting time I had as a projectionist. I had that movie down pat, drawing and opening the curtains and increasing and decreasing the sound levels at appropriate times. (It had a 20 minute reel of music in the middle of the movie.) The BAD time was when I went to the projector just to check the carbon arc lamp, and it went "POOF" and self extinguished. I checked everything in the whole damned booth, shut down the projector, closed the curtains and turned on the lights. I finally shut it all down had the manager refund everyone's ticket price. Turned out I had blown a fuse, way back in the corner of the generator room, that no one had even remembered until the main projectionist found it after remembering his dad talking about it.

I can still see the cue marks to change projectors for movies on TV.

I used to have some fun during the Saturday kiddie shows, though!         :nutkick:  :rotf:  :-)  :lmao:

Movies on that list I've seen in their entirety, or near enough to it:
4, 6, =8, 10.
Movies on that list that I've seen most of, or at last part of:
1, 2, 5, 8.

3 and 7 I've never seen.

I've only seen #1, and that only because I was visiting relatives who thought that was interesting.

I've seen all 10. Now I am questioning my reality.

I thought for sure Bergman's The Seventh Seal would top the list. It has such iconic imagery.

Ten minutes into #6, I fell asleep. The little I saw of it was BORING.

I've seen Goodfellas and The Great Escape all the way through. The others? Only snippets here and there.
How old where you when you watched it? I loved it when it first came out but I was a late age teenager at the time, and I think the movie's target audience. I don't think it stands up as a whole to repeated viewings but it does have a lot of scenes that are still funny.

Out of the ones listed, I've only seen Blade Runner.

I've never seen It's a wonderful life, nor have I seen Citizen Kane.
I'm beginning to thing I am a movie whore. Maybe I need a job of some sort in the industry.

I've seen them all. (Bogie didn't say "Play it again, Sam.") I love movies from the 30's & 40's.  Didn't like Taxi Driver, 2001 or Blade Runner.
Of all those movies, I guess I like Casablanca the least.

I like the one where Bogie owns the boat and helps the French diplomat and there's an old drunken sailor guy much better.

I think the "Play it again, Sam" came from an advertising campaign in the 1970s. I don't remember what they were advertising but they had a Bogie sound-alike.

I don't think I've ever heard of that one.

It was my first delving into the gay scene, well that is after first meeting Mamacags.   :naughty:

This is the clean version. There is a much more explicit version on the CD. Don't know if there is a video of that. The explicit version, while NSFW, is much better.

But I believe this would answer your question if you pretend The Godfather had been directed by Martin Scorsese. Which in an alternate Red Eye bit, it was:

About 50, IIRC. Mrs E laughed hysterically and thinks it's the cat's balls, but I found it boring as hell.
