Best Intro/Riff
« on: February 07, 2008, 10:22:45 PM »
Listening to Pink Floyd/Animals/Pigs (Three Different Ones)...

Is is just me or is this the best intro and overall riff ever?  Then again I'm biased that this is the best album ever, not just the best Pink Floyd album.

How about the intro to "Sweet Jane" on Lou Reed's "Rock'n'Roll Animal" album?

God alone suffices.

I don't mind dating my high school days a bit. (pre-mature Rearden, lol)

However, Nirvana's SLTS does start with a very memerable opening riff in the traditional  :bird: style of rock and roll. So  :bird: if you think the song does not belong here.  :-)

...
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
