Title: Jesse Jackson Has Parkinson's Disease
Post by: Eupher on November 17, 2017, 05:04:29 PM
If anything, the 76-year-old just might stop (if only temporarily) threatening organizations and companies to line his own pockets.

Nah, I didn't think so either.

The story is only a few paragraphs long - enough to put it all here.

Chicago (AFP) – American civil rights leader Jesse Jackson announced Friday that he has the degenerative neurological disease Parkinson’s.

The 76-year-old, who once worked with Martin Luther King Jr for the cause of equal rights for African Americans, and currently heads a Chicago non-profit organization, said it has become “increasingly difficult to perform routine tasks.”

“My family and I began to notice changes about three years ago. For a while, I resisted interrupting my work to visit a doctor,” Jackson said in a statement.

“After a battery of tests, my physicians identified the issue as Parkinson’s disease, a disease that bested my father.”

Jackson said he would make “lifestyle changes,” concentrate on physical therapy to slow disease progression, and planned to work on his memoir.

He also said he would use his diagnosis as an opportunity to educate others about the neurological illness, with a largely unknown cause and no cure, that afflicts seven to 10 million people worldwide.

A number of other notable figures have been afflicted with the disease, including boxing legend Muhammad Ali, actor Michael J. Fox and Pope John Paul II.

Actually, it will be an enhancement to his career as a shakedown artist.

:hi5:

He was diagnosed 2 years ago, but waited until he's accused of harassing some women.

Hypothetically I should be sympathetic, but I'm not. Jackson is a racist degenerate with a degenerative disease.

JJ has also been caught with his pants down, plugging somebody other than his wife.

And since JJ has built his rather dubious career on being a Martin Luther King, Jr. disciple, apparently MLK didn't think so warmly of him.

Quote
“If you want to carve out your own niche in society, go ahead,” King screamed at the young upstart [Jackson]. “But for God’s sake, don’t bother me.”

MLK himself liked to play the field as well, according to the article.

Yeah.
On the one hand, it sucks when anyone gets it.
On the other hand, he's an awful man who's done more harm than good for the black community.

"Jackson said he would make “lifestyle changes,”..."
I bet one "lifestyle change" he won't be making will be to stop seeing his mistresses.

He'll likely forget seeing one from hour to hour . . . :whistling:

The best "lifestyle change" he can make is stop living.
