Cats and Christmas Tree don't mix...
« on: December 05, 2008, 12:02:40 PM »
I got to the store today and a lady came in asking if we had anything for a poor Christmas tree that had been sprayed by her cat.I helped with what I knew of, but I could uses some help.

I know there are lot of you with cats. And have had all sorts of experiences.

I would definitely call hers a SMELLY CAT, SMELLY CAT.

My boys don't spray, they just dismantle the decorations.  (Actually the girls are worse than the boys).

I've picked one of our Nutcrackers up off the floor 3 times today.

When my babies (sadly both have now passed) were young they loved to play with the ornaments.  I used to put a couple of plastic shiny ones on the lowest branches and LMAO when they would play with them.

*sigh*

I miss them so.

Use this stuff.. it works.

Well, that's if your cats are using your tree as toothpicks or for a chew toy. Works with dogs too. As for spraying... well, are the cats fixed? That'll help.

I,m so sorry Freedumb for you loss. I to have lost many, mainly due to Coyotes and Owls. We live in the country close the the Red River. I miss them all. They all had individual personalities. But we are always getting strays and dropoffs. And we name every one.

The best part of Christmas is the kitties sleeping under the tree.

I have females and they don't spray, but I did have a female who didn't like the litter box....she lives by herself now as the only cat with a friend of my son's.....what I have found that works is vinegar or lemon juice. Either one could be sprayed on. At least try it....but if they don't work...replacement is the only choice. Spray bleach cleaner works too, if it won't take the color out.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

I do, but none on the puter right now.
Although, in real life, I can look to my right, and my Murphy cat is snoozing under the tree right now!

Neysa lived to 18.  Musica lived to be 25 -- yes, 25.

They were important parts of my entire adult life.

Thanks, Inga.

Mostly the latter.  She didn't know she was a cat and was stubborn as all get out.  Tough to the end.

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
