sometimes crispy & sometimes soft

I pour syrup on mine sometimes or dip in grape/strawberry...

It's also wonderful crispy on two pieces of bed with some mayo.

Like all the meat I eat - RARE! (http://members.socket.net/~mcruzan/avatars/yum.gif)

Bacon is already cooked and smoked when you buy it, so it's ready to eat. I even occasionally make a "raw" bacon/mayo sandwich when I'm hungry and in a big hurry.

Generally chewy, especially when it's in rasher form.

It it's diced, then I like it crispy.

DO NOT MIX SWEET STUFF WITH MY BACON. That means all you weirdos with the syrup, too.   :-)

BTW, the same goes for smoked ham.

By itself as a side, I like it crispy, but if it's on a bacon ,egg and cheese sandwich, then not so crispy.

Well, could be...
Generally chewy, especially when it's in rasher form.

...but that might be subject to argument.

I cook it on the waffle iron, thanks Alton Brown.
Turns out perfectly every time.

I like mine with crispy parts and chey parts.

On a side note, I got some of the low sodium bacon from Costco (Kirkland Brand) not really impressed. My wife picked some up from the local butcher that they smoke themselfs, perfect.

hadn't seen the low sodium bacon there and I am a weekly shopper, I only shop at Costco!

Gina,
My wife is a full blooded Costco shopper, and is trying to make me eat healthier!

It was "Kirkland Signature" Item #77000 "50% lower sodium..."

I'll buy it again, it's just that it didnt compare to the thick sliced butcher shop bacon!

I love them. Sam's sucks and the people that shop there are a "lower" class, at least in my area.

The only thing we have in this area is Sam's Club. Pisses me off, as we MUCH prefer Costco. The stuff is simply better there, ranging from the prepared food to the gizmos they sell.

There's only so much crap you can put up with before you say, "ENOUGH!"

The closest town to me of any size is Columbia, MO. My understanding is that the Walton Regime is well-entrenched there. Costco couldn't get in here if it arrived on an asteroid.  :whatever:

Right out of the package or pan al the way to burnt.   Its already cured and and then smoked.  Making your own is so much better.
