4. An impeachment proceeding by a Republican legislature is hardly an investigation

10. He will resign by Monday
The second accuser, Watson, has a stronger story than the initial claim and corroborating witnesses and emails from years ago. The Virginia Democratic Party is not going to let this be a major issue for the next three years.
The Dems knew about this years ago and sat on it...

SECOND woman says Virginia's Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax sexually assaulted her while they were both students at Duke University

A second woman has come forward accusing Democratic Lieutenant Governor of Virginia Justin Fairfax of rape.
Meredith Watson released a letter through her lawyer on Friday calling for Fairfax's resignation claiming he sexually assaulted her in 2000 when they were both students at Duke University.
'Mr. Fairfax's attack was premeditated and aggressive. The two were friends but never dated or had any romantic relationship,' the letter states.
Now a second woman has come forward.

It's been less than 24 hours, but so far no shoot-the-messenger posts on that thread.
I'm not sure what VA law says about grounds for impeachment, but at the least this D legislator is trying to get ahead of what is looking like an impending disaster.
Victim politics is kind of a facts don't matter realm. So even though Northam's stupidity is far from proportional to what Fairfax is accused of, if Fairfax is forced out but Northam brazens it through (which seems very possible), it's not going to play well in victim-identity circles.

I'm just enjoying Dems getting caught in their own traps. The reactions of the primitives towards their own vs how they react when it's a R couldn't be more clear. And the excuses they offer as to why their viewpoints are based upon "facts" rather than political affiliation are amusing and laughable.
