What really pisses me off is that there's even a slightest HINT of a question about prosecuting Bush

and his cronies.

The biggest criminals in over 200 years and we have to THINK
about prosecuting them?

If we don't, then there really is NO hope. None. Zilch. Nada.

-end of story-

It's a pity for yogi here that things like jurisdiction, charges , evidence , trials and all that take so much time and effort. Far better to just wave the magic pony wand and have all your fantasies [FAIL]come true.

1. Yeah, me, too.

It blows my mind.

With all due respect your mind is more easily blown than a $50 bag of coke at a celebrity party in Hollywood.

2. It says a lot about America doesn't it? And none of it good.

If a group of people who fancied themselves protectors of human-kind were to go on a crime spree - kidnapping people they considered bad, secluding them in secret and not so secret hide-outs, then torturing their victims, some to death....we'd have a new "trial of the century"...non-stop, 24 hour coverage of every aspect of the crimes...with members of Congress breaking their necks as they rush to the nearest TV camera so they can talk about being "tough on crime" and how the "rule of law" means people can't act as vigilantes....

but if that same group of thugs happen to be members of government....well, that's different. I mean, gee-golly, they're public servants...we just can't go around criminalizing the actions of public servants just because they're illegal. Just because it's murder when Joe Blow does it doesn't mean it's murder when Joe President or Joe CIA does the exact same thing. Can't we all just forgive the public servant!?!?!

3. I know how my German friends feel.

They are still very upset about Hitler and the horrible atrocities he did. Now here we are with bush and the horrible atrocities he and his crones did. If they are not all prosecuted for war crimes I will be embarrassed to say I am an American. The mockery of our justice system Rove is doing is unbelievable.

To compare Bush to Hitler shows such a complete ignorance of history that you are excluded from further discussion. Now quiet up while the adults are talking.

4. Yeah, every time "Should we?"

is put in front of "Prosecute the Bush administration for war crimes.", America looks worse.

Even raising the subject at any serious level makes America look weak, which makes Her enemies happy. Funny that you want the same thing as your country's enemies. Perhaps you should reevaluate your priorities.

What I believe, who are outside your country, is that the regular american is afraid of touching this issue. Because if they did, they would destroy the myth of USA one and for all.. Over the last 70 year, the american are told that they are special, they are different from everyone else in the world.. They are more honest, and do not do atrocities just for the kick of it.. That the GI soldier is far better educated and far better trained to not kill innocents.. And the the american Government for the most part is just better than everyone else..

Under mr Bush, the whole concept of what US was tending for, was falling appart... Torture, kidnapping, murder, imprisonment and so on, everything you an I can think about, and then a lot more are been doing in YOUR name the last 8 year. And if every crime this Administration ever got to the surface, then the whole idea of US been better than the rest Will implode more or less...

But that is not that you do not NEED a trial, and that every one of this criminals, have to be prosecuted.. If the american public do not dear to do the right thing, the american Will denie the fact because they do not know it.. It is like if Hitler and Co, was making off the hook after the war. Because the american, the russians, the french and the british was not daring to put them into prison, and then into cort for their crimes... The best the american can do, is to go forward, and document every crimes this Administration of mr Bush have been doing, and then prosecute the living hell out of them... Then you might even can sleep better in the night, because your government are doing the right thing...

I would guess that it is documented enough, all over the place that the former administration of mr Bush are war criminals.. But that the document have to been known to the current administration.. Maybe behind the scenes the hunt for the documents are on, and that the Obama Administration are working hard to document, and work with the juridical system, to make a water tight case against the most senior members of the Bush Administration?.. You seldom tell the criminals that you want them in the dock.. This is something that you do in silence, and then hit hard before they can run out of the country...

And if nothing is coming out of it, every one of this persons must believe one thing, and really believe it too.. In Europe we have ICC, and they would not rest if this criminals are traveling to our place in the world.. If the document about the criminals is coming to ICC, then you might se some of them in the dock here.. And dam the US marines if they try to "liberate" they who are in prison in Haag.. The Dutch have some pretty good special forces they too... And if US marines are to "liberate" americans from the prisons in Haag, they have to accept a shooting war...

Diclotican

Dear Diclotican

Isn't there a windmill you're supposed to be tending somewhere ?

Don't forget to chop and pack your lunch. Remember to roll it tight !

Hey dutch boy: go stick your finger in a dyke and STFU.

If you're implying American service personnel are trained to murder civilians or that we use any interrogation method harsher than what is used on the "average" SERE graduate than you're too stupid to breathe let alone comment.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Compared to the other DUmmies, this Diclotican primitive is a literary and grammar genius.  I liked this one the best...

Actually, that whole paragraph is pure primitive gibberish.  I have *got* to remember to keep up with this particular one.  He's the brightest one there, no doubt.

The gifted and talented at the DUmp do know we have not signed on tho the ICC?

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I caught that too. Apparently this primitive is not only ignorant of history, but is not very well versed in military tactics either. Hell, the Texas National Guard alone could crush the Dutch Army.
Never demand that which you are incapable of taking by force, DUmmie.

They are unaware that both the Dutch and Danish have a national defense budget of $1.39.

That is the cost of a cassette tape that says "We Surrender" in 40 different languages, that they will broadcast over the radio in case of "invasion".

I don't think that you read that memo right--the 40-language version costs $1.99, from what I've been told.

Now this is a load of crap.
I spent a lot of time in Germany, and most Germans don't even know who Hitler was, and they know very little about WW2.  They kind of "bleeped" that part of German history out of the textbooks.

of course they did. They want people to think Hitler was a conservative christian. lol. the truth would shock them.

You will find the same thing with the Japanese.
WW2 is barely a footnote in their history texts.

yes, an emperor is just so conservative. lol
