I had imagined that it was a very large campfire.  It's not.  Only 15, and ProdigalJunkMail got in the last word.  QuakerBoy, normal people out here in the world are not thinking like you.  Doesn't it look like the DUmmies are getting more insane by the day?

Oh, and by the way,

I'm looking forward to the Gallup numbers over the next few days, now that Team Obama has chosen to blame the general public for not understanding what 'If you like your plan, you can keep it' meant, instead of manning up and accepting blame for misleading.

Old and busted: Obama misspoke.
New Hotness: We misheard Obama.

You see; "If It Hasn't Changed Since The Law Passed" = "Period" = "No one will take it away"= The government will not take it away" = "Your insurance company won't take it away."

Got it? You did not hear what you thought you heard. Obama has decreed that he did not lie ergo you misheard.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Oh for ****s face.  :thatsright:

Why the frustration?  Two low count moles just stirred the hell out of the hive.  ;)
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

Well thank God you came along to tell us all how much our health care sucks, without you we might still be burdened with low premiums, low or no deductible, and low copays. We are so much better paying twice as much for less than half the coverage. How can we every repay you for your help?

Received an e-mail today at work. I redacted the name of the company and other identifying info.  Also highlighted the interesting parts in Red.

"Open enrollment for US benefits is scheduled for November 11th – 27th.  Communications will start soon about dates for open enrollment meetings and webinars for employees and spouses to attend.  This email contains important information about your benefit plans, please take a few moments to read this email in its entirety.

Action:
Plan on attending an open enrollment meeting or webinar to learn about your 2014 benefits.

You must login to "redacted" between November 11th and 27th if you want coverage for medical, dental & vision plans for 2014 based on the new tier structure below.

Background:
Big picture for US benefits.  Provisions of Healthcare Reform are beginning to take affect for many Americans, here’s what it means to "redacted" -

•   ~$3M - 2013 Medical Device Industry tax on revenue to due Healthcare Reform
o   This number is expected to increase again for 2014 and future years and comes directly off of our profit margins
•   1.1M - "redacted" US Benefit renewal increase with no plan design changes (8.8%)
o   Approximately $450K or 4.2%, is due to taxes and administrative fees from the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that the carriers are passing directly on to us

In total, "redacted"’s expenditures due to Healthcare Reform is ~$3.5M, so far….

Therefore, employees enrolled in the medical plans will see a significant increase in per pay period contributions based on personal benefit elections in 2014.

[/b]
A change you will see as employees is how the per pay period premiums will be split.  This change means each employee that wants benefits for 2014 must make elections through "redacted" in November.

Before   After

Conclusion:
It is more important than ever that you as a participant and consumer of health and wellness plans, attend and be knowledgeable about your healthcare choices.

We look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks!"

There was a caller on Neil Cavuto's show today.  He and his wife had a policy that cost them $700 a month.  They were cancelled.  He said a new Obama policy will cost them $1300+ a month and a $12,000+ out of pocket.  He said when you add the monthly premiums to the out of pocket that their insurance would be $28,000 per year.  They also lost their doctor they've had for 16 years.

I honestly can't see people paying these amounts.

The plan they had was junk, they should be grateful for the new improved plan!

Their plan was a junker car. Or as Carville would say, a bicycle that if called a car doesn't make it a car. Now they will have a brand new shiny car, but they probably won't like the lease agreement.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I'd say they were forced to trade in their car for a moped.

My default description of owebumacare is a steaming pile. Are there any moped models named steaming pile ? Then both our metaphors could merge.
