The Vetting: Obama's Supreme Court and Critical Race Theory

Fortunately, we have another description of Critical Race Theory from an unimpeachable source: Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan.

In 1993, Kagan was asked to present a lecture on CRT. Her notes for that class, dated October 25, 1993, became part of the record during her confirmation hearings in 2010--but the Senate failed to press her on her support for a theory that, by her own admission, was race-obsessed and radical.

Incidentally, Kagan is not the only one of Obama's Supreme Court appointees who is thought to have more than a passing familiarity with Critical Race Theory.

The issue came up in legal circles during debate over the nomination of Justice Sonya Sotomayor, particularly with regard to her comments that a "wise Latina" might reach a "better conclusion" than a white male, and her ruling (later overruled) against white firefighters alleging discrimination in the Ricci case.

Did you see how Soledad's definition of CRT was practically a word for word recitation of the number 1 google result for CRT.  She couldn't let Pollack's inclusion of white supremacy into the definition stand.  When Pollack was pressing her for her own definition since she called his wrong, she stalled until her producer could spoon feed it to her.  I have no idea what's still coming, but I think it's going to be good.  And I think the MSM knows what's coming, that's why they are frantically trying to convince us that it's such a yawn.     

The response she gave was the 1st line from the Wikipedia definition, her producer must have been reading it to her.  BTW, the Wiki definition was recently edited to remove the terms white supremacy and racial power.

Wikipedia has proven to be a very left slanted source. I watched a book T.V. episode about a dissenter from global warming. He was a well qualified scientist, and had some well researched facts to challenge the conventional wisdom on global warming. When he checked his wikipedia page, he found it to be TOTALLY fabricated, and untrue. Taking the opportunity that wikipedia affords to edit his own entry in an autobiographical manner, he deleted the whole entry, and rewrote it with his first person account. Less than 24 hours later, everything he had written was replaced with the original drivel. Everyone on the forum probably knows, but take wikipedia with a HUGE grain of salt.

I just visited the Wikipedia page for Critical Race Theory and after over thirty edits of the page over two days they reverted back to the version that existed before the Soledad O'Brien interview.

The article was edited by then-student Elena Kagan, and was cited by Prof. Charles Ogletree in support of her nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court by President Barack Obama in 2010. The article makes clear that Critical Race Theory sees the U.S. Constitution as a form of "original sin"--a view later embraced by Obama as a state legislator, and reflected in his actions and appointments. Congressman Davis, a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, was filmed receiving his award and exiting the Communist Party U.S.A. headquarters in Chicago on March 4, 2012. When questioned about his relationship with the Communist Party, Davis abruptly fled the scene, refusing to answer any further questions apart from the following exchange:

Cong. Davis: “I thought you’re just a citizen? Why are you worried about the Communist Party?”

Citizen Journalist: “I shouldn’t be worried about the Communist Party?”

If offensive slurs are a problem for the left, why does Al Sharpton have a primetime slot on MSNBC?
The left has started a war against Rush Limbaugh -- a war it cannot win. Limbaugh said something for which he later apologized, and rather than accept that apology, the left and its media allies decided to exploit the situation, turning it into a crusade to take an opposing voice off the air.

Even the White House has jumped on this neo-fascist bandwagon. Not the Obama campaign. The White House. The People's House.

This is, pure and simple, a crusade to censor political speech disguising itself as something else, and it's a crusade led by Media Matters for America, the Obama political machine, and the mainstream media.

And as a result….

Today, Obama sits at 41% in opinion polls -- his lowest approval rating ever. Part of this poll collapse most certainly has to do with a stagnant economy and gas prices, but a lot of it has to do with the fact that Obama has started a stupid war against a nonexistent war on women (which is really Obama's war against the Catholic Church and religious liberty), and the fact that he has once again been found hanging out with another divisive, radical racialist.

Using MSNBC's own standards, should the man who once said the following be allowed to hold a primetime MSNBC slot?

'Cause you know if a black man stood up next to you, they would see you for the whore that you really are.

That's MSNBC's Al Sharpton--many years ago, but just as shocking today. I can already hear the excuse -- that it's okay for him to use the N-word because he's black. But I wonder what CNN's Roland Martin will think of this:

White folks was in the cave when we were building empires. We learned to admire them, but they knew to admire us. We built pyramids without a ____, ____ new architecture ____. We talked philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.

"Greek homos."

Just a few weeks ago, Roland Martin was suspended from CNN after GLAAD took offense to a few Super Bowl tweets few but GLAAD could ever find offensive -- tweets that never even broached the subject of homosexuality.

"Homo," of course is an anti-gay slur, especially within the context you hear in Sharpton's words.

But that's not all! How about a side order of "Chinaman" to go with that "homo":

You the best chicken ____ in the universe. Gonna buy some Colonel Sanders chicken. Then the Chinaman come in and throw some hot ___ [cough] ___. Then the Korean sells us watermelon.  ___ watermelon all my life. They're gonna cut it up and put it in a bucket with a rubber band around it, and then we're gonna buy it like it's somethin we didn't know what it was.

And finally we have this:

"___ uh, white interloper I said I was wrong. uh, uh, cracker, though I think cracker is a certain personification of a certain type of person down south, just like redneck. I mean, you know some people misinterpret cracker meaning all whites, it's not true. But the confusion means you shouldn't use it. I mean, sometimes being flippant you say things you shouldn't say, cause it gets in the way of your message and people  don't really understand what you're saying."

"White interloper." I don’t even know what that means, but "cracker" is a slur against white Southerners -- end of story.
