'Ground Zero Mosque' Clears Legal Hurdle to Build

I don't like this one bit. There is that Greek Orthodox church, St. Nicholas Church, near what used to be the World Trade Center. Keep the pressure so they don't build it.

Disgusting. This is actually beyond disgusting.

Being born and raised in Western New York in all of my travels to other states, when asked where I am from and I reply "New York" I have become accustomed to the usual assumption that I am from New York City. It gets old, tedious really. NYC may as well be on another planet, honestly there is no comparison to what the NYCitiots refer to as "upstate". Michael Savage is dead on target in his description of a people being defined by "borders, language, culture". The rest of New York State shares absolutely NOTHING with NYC. They are like a tick embedded in our aorta, sucking us dry. A vast island of libtard zombie parasites. F*ck them!

What is that bird that lays its egg in another bird's nest and carelessly leaves without a care for its own, leaving it to be raised by the host. A "Baby Huey" monster chick which pitches its legitimate nest mates over the side and voraciously consumes all from the host parents? THAT is NYC. If it weren't for the support it receives from outside it would die on the vine, unable to support itself.

NYC is an island of Bohemian Utopia which enjoys its grotesquely outsized influence through a highly concentrated population on a small patch of real estate. An insatiable black hole of consumption. A population with a skewed sense of values like that of an only child trust fund punk with bad manners and a viciously condescending attitude. Like any libtard sect the NYCitiots revel in warm and fuzzy notions not rooted in reality, evidenced by their unholy relationship with radical Islam. This would seem to be unconscionable in a city which is home to the largest Jewish population outside Israel and the scene of the most devastating attack on America since Pearl Harbor. Exceeding Pearl Harbor, actually.

Allowing this abomination to proceed at Ground Zero is like a mugging victim saying to the perpetrator "Put down your knife, here, take my large and effective handgun and use this instead,oh, and would you like me to perform fellatio upon you before you rob me and blow my brains out the back of my skull"?

New York State and New York City are two different worlds. Not surprised that NYC skews New York as a blue state.

I'm absolutely disgusted - and simultaneously find it extraordinarily illuminating - that this gets fast tracked through on greased rails, and the World Trade Center reconstruction is still dithering.

I think I've found a pick of the NYC mayor without his mask on:

Well said! I can relate to that. H5!
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

High Fives all around to everyone on this thread.

WTF, PEOPLE???!!!

My Dad was born in '33, he was a little kid when Pearl Harbor happened but he remembers it well. By the time WWII ended he was going on 13 and had been brought up in a culture very different than the America of today. Even in the north, in his hometown then, 230 miles from Gettysburg in Salamanca, N.Y. there weren't black and white drinking fountains but there were unwritten rules and black or white, everyone knew their place. Blacks were outcast people who had to step into the street when whites approached on the sidewalk. Now they are Americans much more than they were at the time but still we are not at a point where everyone is the same. Blacks have always been a huge part of the American experience, they have earned their place at the table.

Arabs? NO. Never registering more than a trace on the American scene and having decidedly polar views from the mainstream here they have come nowhere close to earning a place in the melting pot of America. Nor do they seek it. (same with the 30 MILLION illegal trespassing Mexicans).

In fact, they have always been an outstanding enemy of the United States, far predating our mid twentieth century support of Israel  going at least as far back as the war with the Barbary Pirates of 1803. Always trouble and never cooperative on the world stage.

Their agenda has never wavered, dating back to the days of the Knights Templar and the Crusades. They hate us and want us dead. Period.

There is no room for discussion in that. It is what it is. Pure hatred with undying conviction to that end. We are on the same planet as them and as they see it, we need to go. Entirely. Gone.

This is unprecedented in that they not only want us all (anyone not Muslim and ethnically Arab) dead because we are not of their religion but also because we are not of their race. The Arab populations presently tolerate non Arab Muslims but openly state their end goal of no non Arab humans remaining in the ultimate victory over all other races for their God.

One religion, Muslim.

One race, Arabic.

One language, Arabic.

Everyone else, dust, victorious history beneath their feet.

This is simply grotesque. That's a to the point as I can say it. Grotesque.

Hi5 for that.

Oh, and I didn't know you had so much hostility for NYC, FreeBorn. I can understand why though. I know a bit of the politics of that city through heresay, and things, but not nearly as much as you do. If you remember, I was there for a short stint. Alas, three days does not make a scholar on all things NYC. Didn't really talk much politics, but I remember asking the hotel I was staying at if they carried Fox News. There was an emphatic "No." Couldn't understand that. However, since I was just a tourist, I was there to have fun, and boy did I?

I sincerely love the city, and wish I could live there. Is that a wish you think I would take back after living there for a while, or no, FB?

To each his own but I wouldn't live there. I think you could be happy there if you could shrug off the fact that you would be surrounded by libs. It is certainly better if they don't know your views. If they are aware of your political views they will certainly make no secret of their disdain for you. That's where me & libs part ways, they are absolutely intolerant at least and openly hostile at worst to anyone they perceive as not sharing their ideals. That's been my experience anyway.

The city certainly has a lot to offer and can really be a blast for a limited time but I would go out of my mind there in no time. A country boy at heart I love the wide open spaces and hardwood forest right off the back porch, lights/noise/people not so much. I'm in a semi rural setting now but really miss living in the southern tier of New York in the Allegany foothills. My neighbors were Amish, almost two miles up the road (dirt road). Apart from work I saw more critters than people. Deer, black bear, red and grey fox, beaver, coons, bald eagles, the whole woodland crew. Then I met my second wife and she dragged me from the wilderness.  :panic:

Yup.

If they hold to that, does construction in NYC have to be performed by union labor?
