So I was having a discussion last night...

with myself of course, and I came up with the idea of starting a column in titled “What’s next with these assholes?“

These right wing, intellectual, racist, fascist, repressive, Nazified lunatics are clearly capable of virtually any iteration of human behavior possible within the framework of the four dimensions of which we know.

Just when you think that things can’t get worse, or someone can’t make a more idiotic comment or observation, they do, and they do it with gusto, and incredible headshaking, traitorous language.

So I’m reading in another post that a Disney film shown in class provoked an investigation by the Florida state board of education which has the potential to revoke the license of a teacher. And it got me to thinking about films that I saw when I was in school all those years ago.

For those of you who are younger, it was a series of films, produced by the Bell Telephone Company (certainly a bastion of Communist ideology (just in case)) which covered various scientific phenomena, including astronomy, human physiology, the notion of time and relativity, and the like. The films were hosted by this professorial gentleman.

Dr. Baxter and his audio visual aide and right-hand man played by , and I did not realize it till I was older, and saw the films again, the actor Eddie Albert. Using a combination of lecture, live action, demonstration, and creative animation, scientific knowledge, and the basis, for the same was imparted in a most entertaining and memorable manner. These films were nothing short of brilliant in terms of educational effect.

But that got me to thinking, what would the right wing object to in these films produced in the 1950s into the early 1960s? The first thing that came to mind was in the film, Our Mr. Sun, about the Sun and its attributes, was that it was mentioned that it is billions of years old, as is the solar system which surrounds it.

Obviously, in this day and age in certain states, that would be heresy. It is the considered opinion of many millions that the universe is only about 5000 years old and all of this astronomical information which most have deemed a science was created by God to test us and our faith.

The fact that we know that there are pyramids which have been around longer than that is apparently irrelevant to this process.

But that pales before the films The Thread of Life and Hemo the Magnificent which concern genetics and the evolution of the critical importance of the hemodynamic system in man respectively.

The Theory of Evolution is, in these peoples’ minds, fallacious and Intelligent Design is “obviously” more in keeping with “reasonable truth”.

I guarantee that a teacher who showed these films or even suggested that his or her students watch them, would be investigated in much the same way as the House Un-American Activities Committee investigated Americans who did not see things their way.

And we have not even begun to plumb the depths of these people’s, cultural and intellectual depravity. It is, as a man once said, a disgrace to the human race.

1. My dad worked for NJ Bell in Ventnor back then and we met Mr. Albert on a visit he was making to AC,

don't think it had much to do with the film but who knows? I was just a kid and did not realize the film (I had seen it) was so important but NJ Bell was delighted to say the least. We had lunch at Hackney's..LOL.

of course.... the DUmpmonkiez have to make every post about them...

6. I think I saw Hemo, but it was probably in the late

1960s. Our school never showed anything new, and rarely had films available.

"What's Next with These Assholes?" would be an excellent column.

7. For sure some of the most conservative religious groups adhere to the beliefs you describe, but do people like DeSantis and that Texas governor also hold these beliefs? I would be surprised. But I keep being surprised.

no.

What he actually did, :jerkit:  :jerkit:  :jerkit: .
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Thanks PDDUchebag for confirming what I always suspected, all of your comments are based on conversations in your head. No other people are ever involved and you are not in the medical field but for having been routinely in on 72 hour (or longer) involuntarily psyche evaluations.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I think it’s called mental illness  :-)

And the films that were shown up until recently didn’t push left wing trash like transgenderism, climate change, crt, socialism and the rest of liberal bull shit
Life is tough and it’s even tougher when you’re stupid

Basking in the glow of my white Privilege, while I water the Begonias with liberal tears!

So...not an intelligent discussion, then.

As the old bromide goes: "If intercourse is conversation, masturbation is talking to yourself."

This could well be what we are looking at here.   :thatsright:

I remember the 60s science films where they taught us that Einstein thought women were born with dicks.

(Not really.)

First, Disney is notorious for going after teachers who dare use their movies, cartoons, characters, or anything else without paying the House of Mouse it's proper fees.  So the teacher could have been seeing problems regardless of the Florida law.

Second, well...

‘Strange World’ Is Disney’s First Animated Movie With a Gay Lead. Why Is It Being Buried?

Quote
But after watching the movie, there seems like a simpler explanation for Disney’s shyness around Strange World. Simply put, Strange World is the most boring movie Disney has released in years.

Back to the world salad

Bell had to be forced to break up by the Feds because they were working very hard to maintain a monopoly on the phone lines across America.  Not a bastion of conservative, proper capitalist ideology there.

Obviously, in this day and age in certain states, that would be heresy. It is the considered opinion of many millions that the universe is only about 5000 years old and all of this astronomical information which most have deemed a science was created by God to test us and our faith.

Very few Christians hold to the "add up the ages listed in Genesis to find how old the Earth is" theory (which actually runs about 6000 years, not 5000), most hold that there is legitimate debate over the billions of years age of creation for numerous reasons, and that we don't really know the answer, and that it really doesn't matter in the spiritual picture.  Want some real fun, PCI?  Do some searches on how old Muslims believe the world is.

The fact that we know that there are pyramids which have been around longer than that is apparently irrelevant to this process.

Quick search says oldest verified pyramid is the Pyramid of Djoser, 2667 – 2648 BC.  Which is 4000 years and change.  I guess math is hard.  There are some archeological sites that may be declared older, but those are being studied still, and PCI set the bar at pyramid.

The Theory of Evolution is, in these peoples’ minds, fallacious and Intelligent Design is “obviously” more in keeping with “reasonable truth”.

Something from Nothing breaks all the known laws of physics.  Last I knew, String Theory and other quantum physics theories are searching for something that operates outside of the natural (supernatural, mayhaps?) to fill in those gaps.  Also, to my knowledge, there have been no finds or recreations of new genetic information being generated from nowhere, which is required for macro-evolution, the creation of new species from old ones, or more complex organisms from simpler ones.

And we have not even begun to plumb the depths of these people’s, cultural and intellectual depravity. It is, as a man once said, a disgrace to the human race.

What do you call a person with one X chromosome and one Y chromosome?  Hint, the answer is not subject to the person's feefees.

Kind of like leftist SJWs, who constantly discover increasingly ridiculous things to declare to be "Offensive" or "Problematic" (i.e. Eating three meals a day, being on time, Rudolph the Red- Nosed Reindeer, etc.), and constantly sink to new depths in finding ways to force degeneracy on our nation's children.
