Columnist Byron York of the Washington Examiner observed in the hours before the verdict was delivered on Tuesday:
There is no doubt Sussmann lied to the FBI. There is no doubt he is guilty. But the trial is taking place in Washington, perhaps the deepest-blue jury pool in the United States. Durham’s prosecutors are “facing a jury that has three Clinton donors, an AOC donor, and a woman whose daughter is on the same sports team as Sussmann’s daughter,” George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said recently on Fox News. “With the exception of randomly selecting people out of DNC headquarters, you could not come up with a worse jury.”

This case was a trial balloon. Lying to the FBI/CIA/your mother doesn't resonate. But I do think that Durham's future indictments will bear more fruit.
But yeah, DC is not the venue to try these cases. Way, way, WAAAAAY too many leftist woketards beholden to Uncle Sam for their daily bread.
Can't have anybody trying to call into question those efforts in keeping the gravy train going.

Notice how comfortable the juror is just coming ouut and saying it.

The acquittal is no surprise. This is a DC jury, after all. In the Roger Stone case, for example, we documented how a juror lied to get on the panel. (That judge didn’t care.) Making matters worse, the Sussmann judge wrongly allowed for a woman to remain on the jury, despite the fact that her daughter and Sussmann’s are on the same high school crew team. One can’t help but think that juror had her own daughter’s interests in mind – the cohesion of the crew team, sparing her of teenage drama, etc. – when she reached a decision.
After the verdict was announced, the jury’s forewoman held court before the media and expressed her displeasure that the Special Counsel prosecute a false statement case: “There are bigger things that affect the nation than a possible lie to the FBI.”
This juror was never impartial - despite her assurance to the judge.
On the facts, the evidence was more than sufficient to prove Sussmann’s guilt. Sussmann lied to then-FBI general counsel James Baker via text message in order to get a meeting to pass the Alfa Bank hoax materials to the FBI.
It was DC, which is heavily Democratic.

Wow. 85% of all FBI database searches were "non-compliant." Interesting, but the question still looms:
What are Gaetz and Jordan going to do about it? Write another strongly-worded letter to AG Garland? More useless, senseless, and meaningless congressional hearings that go nowhere?
Color me skeptical.

We don't know what's going to happen, but it can't be good for Perkins-Coie and the FBI.
In the meantime, Trump is mulling suing The Pultizer Committee... forcing the media to somehow react to THAT in light of the acquittal.
