The Official DU Debate Thread and MSNBC Wrap-Up
« on: October 11, 2012, 05:34:14 PM »
Well. No one has made one yet. I might as well grab the glory and start it up.
Post the links and quotes from DU here. Moles this is where you come in if they go to Defcon 4 again.
If the debate preview threads (listed below) are any indication, its gonna be another laugh riot tonight.

I am anxious to see how msnbc reacts tonight. If Biden is anything like Barry was, it is going to be beautiful.

Okay, folks, the general plan for this thread is this: Ballygrl's going to babysit it, keep it going, and post from twits; she's not going to have time to run over to Skins's island to see what the primitives are saying.

I'm not sure what Mr Mannn's plans are, but whatever they are, they're okay, good plans.

I'll be over in the other live thread for the debates, in the Election 2012 forum, started by Kyle Ricky.

But we need people to check in on the primitives until they go into lockdown, and drag the posts here.  Given that this is a hurry-hurry thing, one doesn't need to bother with links if one doesn't want to; the primitive quotes themselves will do.

If DU goes into Defcon mode I won't be able to get in so hopefully someone will be able to.

But remember, folks, this could fall short of our expectations.

There's still 26 more days until the election, and I suspect decent and civilized people are going to go through a couple of slumps, when things don't look as good as we wished they did.

It happens.  Excresence happens.  One accepts, adapts, and moves on.

We're not primitives, after all, who lay down and whine and cry when things don't go our way.

When things don't go our way, we press on.

This is not even going to be a close debate. Joe Biden will wipe the floor with Congressman Ryan tonight. So much so that Ryan will lose his own Congressional seat.

Show time.

I'm a little more nervous about this one than the one last week. I expected Mitt to do an adequate job, but he blew Jughead out of the water! A similar performance tonight by Ryan could put the whole election away. Wouldn't that be sweet?

Luckily, I'm not working tonight, so I can watch the primitives, and bring some of it over. However, I'll also need a few volunteers to help me. As I said elsewhere; Biden is going to find it difficult to debate Paul since his foot is usually firmly planted between his chompers. I expect a lot of idiotic comments tonight. Which will in turn put the primitives in a real froath.

I dunno know about anyone else here, but I fully expect Ryan's youth and vigor to prove
too much for Old Joe to take. All that P90X. He's *got* this. In fact, if Ryan doesn't CINCH this thing tonight, it clearly shows the GOP is in disarray. There's NO WAY Paul can lose this.

I expect that Ryan will win this HANDILY. I think Ryan will talk about his budget the same way he talks about his marathon time, and his mountain climbing, and they will declare him a winner. In fact, if he doesn't show he can HANDILY defeat JOE BIDEN, he is showing he CLEARLY unfit for office. *ANY* office.

#dontletthemmakeourexpectationstoohighbecausethentheywinandyouknowit

Already trying that old reverse psychology thing. Won't work, but nice try.
