ClimateGate's Phil 'Hide the Decline' Jones Admits Manipulating Data

The British scientist in the middle of November's ClimateGate scandal says that contrary to what Al Gore and many in the media claim, the debate concerning manmade global warming is not over.

"There is still much that needs to be undertaken to reduce uncertainties, not just for the future, but for the instrumental (and especially the palaeoclimatic) past as well," Phil Jones, the former head of Britain's Climatic Research Unit told the BBC.

In a lengthy Q&A published at BBC.com Saturday, Jones also said: the recent warming trend that began in 1975 is not at all different than two other planetary warming phases since 1850; there has been no statistically significant warming since 1995, and; it is possible the Medieval Warm Period was indeed a global phenomenon thereby making the temperatures seen in the latter part of the 20th century by no means unprecedented.

Maybe most important, Jones explained what "hide the decline" in ClimateGate e-mail messages meant confirming they manipulated data.

Thank God this entire charade is finally starting to unravel.

I hope it gets pointed out over and over all the millions of dollars that has been sucked out of the economy over this nonsense.
Anyone running for office should make it a point to say they will oppose any further funding of studies and will oppose any more attempts to increase the costs of products that greenhouse gas regulations impose.

Phil Jones is now a "scientist" that is unemployed........some in the science community will listen, and come away with the impression that he is attempting to hang on to the last vestages of his credibility, but for the public in general, and the "true believers" in particular, the only way they will believe it is when the New York Times prints:  "Global Warming a Hoax" in a 64 point headline........

If you analyze this entire scheme, there are about twelve to eighteen "protagonists" that are behind this entire affair (not including the UN).......many in the environmental sciences jumped on the bandwagon to grab some grant money, but were personally skeptical (silently)........now that this in unravelling, they are running like hell for the hills, leaving the original group to dangle by their own petards......

Lest we ever forget, this entire scheme is not now, nor was it ever about the global climate........it is and always was about money, and control..........those are ongoing goals for any committed leftist.....when this is debunked, and lies in shambles, there will dawn a new "global emergency" for the left to attempt to capitalize on to push forward their agenda........

The ultimate (albeit impossible) goal must be to eradicate leftism, in all of its guises.......

and just who has been making this claim all along? I'll give you a hint it aint the DUmmies. Us conservatives have been saying this for years and then called "flat earthers" so Doctor Jones must be a flat earther now too.
